There’s a special episode 12 next week…..Why? All I can say is I watched it until the end and I am glad that Aue and Auk ended up together. However I do feel this could have ended with ep 10. The scene with Bie and the female chef made no sense at all. I did like the ending scene with Aue and Auk but they could have extended ep 10 and included it. Seems like ep 11 just includes fillers. I would have much rather seen the mother cooking and eating with the two of them. Anyway it’s over. I liked the mls but this will not be on my rewatch list.
Thank you for the spoilers. I really just wanted to see Leon and Pob get the closure they deserved. Not surprised it didn’t happen. I already said this writer is all about the money. Take care and stay safe everyone.
In short, what the premise of the show set-up and eluded to from the get go is the truth. Jung Woo's character…
I have to agree with you. I generally am a soft touch for a happy ending where the two mls end up together…but not in this case. I am hoping that the whole scheme backfired and our true chef ends up happily walking out with or without the staff. Sometimes being alone is a happy ending.
I stumbled upon this and decided to watch a second time . I was reminded of why I loved this series. I think it is actually one of the most underrated BLs. It deals with real issues in a very positive way. There is accountability and consequences. I also like how the female characters are portrayed. In a lot of BLs there is the bitter echo who is bent on revenge…or the females are so scatter brained. Here the females are actually advocates and very supportive. I also like how the parents are depicted. Again, no verbal or physical tirade or shameful rankings. The issue each couple deals with seem very realistic and the pain is reflective of their inner grappling and coming to terms with who they are and who they want to be. Even the teacher was a ray of wisdom. I would put this right up there with Cherry Magic and He’s Coming to Me . This goes on my rewatch list.
That was beautiful. So heartfelt. Tender. Perfect in every way. Filled with loveable characters, who truly care…
I have watched this three times already. It is just mesmerizing to watch as these two souls come together. The scene where they are bathing reflects the simplicity and purity of their growing friendship and eventual love for one another. No scene feels rushed. I have said it before and I say it again. The Japanese are masters at telling a story and they take the bl genre in a direction that incorporates the reality of life without being pretentious or naive. Another Japanese bl gem is His.
I started to give this a pass but then I remembered that the Japanese bl is like no other. They are the masters of subtlety and storytelling. I am looking forward to seeing how the miscues are handled and the couples finally get on the same page.
So far I am loving this. I’ve looked at over 50 BLs and this falls in the category of just a sweet story about two people who prove that opposites do attract. It’s only eight episodes and we are half way through so the conflict should come soon and then the final resolution which I hope will find our mls together. This is one of those BLs that one could binge watch in a few hours. It reminds me of Cravings and You Make Me Dance. Really I don’t even need subtitles. I can just watch the two mls.
I agree with you. It’s their private life and none of our business. Hope she is well but should not ruin someone…
I agree. I have never seen such intrusion into the personal life of an entertainer as I have seen in the lives of Asian entertainers. They are human and to me their private life is their business unless they are committing a crime. Couples fight. Couples break up. That should not destroy a person’s career.
I feel this episode does have a lot of development. Many people feel that there has been little movement in the…
What a very nice thoughtful analysis…. Now if only the production team could have projected the same on camera. I’m still watching but I still feel the viewers have been let down.
I just completed ep 9 and I really cannot understand what just happened. It just seems like it’s all out of synch. First we get the wanna be girlfriend and then the scene with the intrusive chef wanna be heir to rich daddy’s empire. It just seems like the writers just threw anything and everything they had into the pot just to see how it would turn out. And I am so over Aek. I was trying to understand and be empathetic but my goodness….all Aue did was kiss him. Why have they turned him into a little wuss. Aek may be younger but he’s still an adult. I just kept saying…stop whining. And who spills his deepest feelings to a stranger..the person he should have been talking to is Aue. The best parts of this for me was the part with Aek’s friends and Aue’s staff. And what was that lovey dovey commercial at the very end. Lol..it just made the episode before seem like a comedy of errors… which it was. I will still continue watching but with little enthusiasm. I know we haven’t seen the last of the intrusive wanna be gf or Aek’s new suitor. I love a good stew but this is not it! Too bad because this started off really good.
If you are a bl groupie like I am I say watch it or at least give it a try. Personally I liked it but I happen to be a sucker for a happy ending . I do have issues with the writer Mame. I personally think a few sessions with a good therapist might help her but what do I know. I say try it…that’s what the stop button is for and I have plenty of BLs which I discarded before the first episode was over. Take care.
Okay, tbh I liked this wayyy better than TTS2. I've always got the impression that Mame's basic idea (like the…
Oh you had to go there but that’s ok. I actually love LBC and LBC2….probably because I just adore Perth, Saint, Plan and Mean and Yacht too. I have rewatched each at least three times. I also am a huge fan of Tharntype. I just rewatched that this week. I watched TT2 but it just never resonated with me. I think that’s partly because I was so invested in the cast from TT1. I really missed Techno. But I have really enjoyed Don’t Say No(excluding ep 11) and will put it on my list to rewatch. Take care.
Ok I finished Ep 12 and it surpassed my expectations. Even when I think of Ep11 and started reflecting it reminded me that life and love can get real crazy and messy….I’ve seen it and experienced it but if the love is really true somehow the couples will find their way back to one another. That’s why I’m not even upset about Pob and Leon. Their separation is all about the two of them. There is no obstructive third party from the past, no family pressure, no life threatening illness or accident. They love each other but they also understand each other. This is actually the first real test of their love and I’m putting my money on the two of them eventually being reunited. I look forward to the special on the 29th. Until then stay safe everyone.
I loved the ending. No cliff-hangers…all three couples got a happy ending. So glad to see the growth in each relationship. I was so proud of Mark. He did not let his parents stand in his way and clearly he has a healthy perspective when it comes to Joanna. Also, the older couple dealt with their situation perfectly. Loved how the mil was able to stand down and let her boyfriend follow his path with her as support. And what a great friend Mark was to choose helping his friend over Taipei. I needed a feel good ending and this was it for me.
