"If you remain silent in situations of injustice it means that you have chosen the side of the oppressor" well…
I agree. Some of the best dramas featuring straight couples show very little skin and maybe one scene where the couple actually kiss…and these are mature adults in their 30s. Why then do people hold BLs to a different standard. The storyline seems to take a backseat to the desire for more explicit physical contact… I really have enjoyed this series and the diversity. I applaud the team for going beyond the basic bl formula.
Just finished ep 6 and it was short and sweet. Yes it was bl but I’m sure some may be dissappointed. I liked it. The acting was solid. I have seen the three main male characters in other series too so I am pleased to see them again. Now I’m just waiting for my heartthrob Perth.
The siblings are very loyal and supportive towards each other. Their father is a neglectful parent though. Most…
Thank you…sounds like my mom’s family. There was five siblings.,She was the youngest of three girls. The two brothers were so protective of their sisters. They truly loved each other amid divorces, toxic relationships, loss of infant children. Their father was just like the one in this series. How my grandmother could stay with such a man is beyond me. Despite it all they stuck together. Even when they argued I could feel their love. You can see why I think I’ll take a pass. I’ve seen this series in real time. Thanks again.
Please help me out. Is this drama about a dysfunctional family with serious problems including infidelity, deceit, divorce, toxic relationships and full of emotional angst? It looks interesting but coming from a family full of crazies it’s hard for me to find any entertainment value in this kind of drama.
I feel no sympathy for her. What she did to her own son is evil and no one deserves that. She needs to be locked…
I really have no sympathy for Fiat’s mother. She is a very toxic person and has mental issues. Getting a restraining order means nothing to people like her. Mothers have killed their children to keep them from their fathers. Fiat is still a very damaged soul. I feel more drama but I do hope we get a happy ending.
Ep 5 was so adorable! I found myself smiling like crazy throughout the episode. The story was built up really…
I am so happy to read your comment. I am a straight mature(old) female but I found bls during the Covid lockdown and I became a fan. I like that the project had both straight and gay couples. I also enjoyed 2and 5. My least favorite is 3 but that’s because of the storyline and how the female characters were portrayed. Most of the actors were in UWMA and/or LBC so I am a big supporter of these talented actors/ actresses. Again thank you for sharing.
Ep 5 was cute, I guess. But the story seemed more high school than college. And Plan seemed even more awkward…
Personally the kissing part is the last thing I look at when watching a series. I thought they were actually showing the innocence and purity of their relationship. To me it was refreshing.
I watched it a second time and I loved it even more. No heavy drama. Just a really nice simple story about friends becoming involved. It actually reminded me of my own college days…hanging out in the student union, going to the mall, having crushes, breaking up and moving on. This role fit Plan and I thought the fl did a good job. Plus I love happy endings. Love the ost too.
I am watching this for the second time. I don’t usually like this genre but this one has such a compelling storyline and the acting is top notch. It’s also only six episodes so there are no annoying side stories or frivolous love interests. The script is tight and every thing is connected so I even refrained from pressing fast forward and skipping parts. I hope there is enough interest to warrant a season 2 but Netflix is so unpredictable.
Simply beautiful…another Japanese gem. They truly are masters at using the most subtle glances and nuances to elicit just the right emotion…no over the top dramatics, no intrusive third party, no obligatory car crash…just a very simple love story that deals with the complexity of being different.
I just finished this movie and I loved it. Just a beautiful , poignant love story. I appreciate how the story evolved. It was not rushed or forced. The feelings came naturally and it reminded me how pure true love can be. The mls were perfect and I felt their chemistry. But to me this movie was about more than the two of them. It depicted love in so many forms. I especially loved the scene with the “sister”. And the ending was perfect.
do u even understand why he hates his stepmom and dad, he has been manipulated by his mom since he was a child…
As I’ve said before I’ve seen first hand how a child can be fed lies and taught to hate. The trauma doesn’t go away just because you are an adult. And when the truth comes out it is devastating. Kudos to the team for a very real portrayal of how seeds of hate when planted in a child’s mind can cause so much mental and emotional damage.
I am still enjoying the series so far. There are some moments where I wonder what’s going on but then I think about the real world and it’s just as fragmented. Fiat reminds me of someone I knew growing up. I eventually learned that he was fed a bunch of lies about his father and his stepmother which caused him to be bitter and hateful. We only have a few more episodes so I hope we get a happy ending for both couples.
