So I was one of those who waited till the entire season was done and then binged all five episodes altogether…
What a thoughtful and thought provoking analysis. It reminded me of a conversation I had with my dad a week before I got married. He flat out told me I couldn’t come back home and he was serious. I thought it odd at first but as time went on I began to understand what he meant. My dad knew that it was not going to be sugar and spice every day. He was telling me I couldn’t pack my bags and come running home whenever we had a disagreement. Fortunately, my husband’s father had delivered the same message. They were right and we grew together and somehow we survived. More importantly our love grew too. Thank you again for sharing. Take care.
I have seen your comments all throughout the weeks that IPYTM has been airing. I absolutely loved hearing your…
Thank you so much. You just made my day. Sometimes I have been reluctant to post my comments out of fear of being too boring. That was me. I am a hopeless romantic. There is so much cynicism in the world today. I just want people to know there is light at the end of the tunnel. Again thank you for being the light that I needed today. And yes, I am a grandmother. Take care and God bless you.
This season showed what happens in real life. People change, they grow, and couples grow apart when experiencing…
I took special interest because it actually reminded me of my mom and dad. They met in high school, fell in love and married when my mom was in her senior year of high school. My father had graduated before her. Long story short they started growing apart. My mom even left the south where they lived and moved to Hollywood. She had dreams of being an actress. My dad was more conventional. They both tried being with other people but ended up back together. By the time I was born what I saw was a father devoted to his wife and a mother who loved this man so much. It was my aunts and uncles who filled me in on the early years . The consensus was they always loved each other but had to discover who they were to make their love work. That’s one of the reasons I was rooting for Teh and Aew. I would not have had the wonderful life I had if my parents had not fought for their love. When my dad died they had been together over 50 plus years. So I was definitely Team Aew and Teh. Take care and live well.
I can't believe our flawed protagonist turned it around and the writers pulled off a miracle. I can admit when…
I don’t want a season three either. Billkin and PP are more than Aew and Teh. My country loves soap operas but unfortunately most of the actors who started out young became typecast. They played their roles so well that when they tried to leave and explore other acting options they found little success and ended up returning and 30 years later are still playing the same character. I think Billkin and PP are better than that. I would like to see them in other projects with completely different personas and not as a couple.
I SCREAMED SO HARD WHEN BAS SHOWED UP!!!!! IM SO PISSED THAT THEY DIDNT END UP TOGETHER!!!!Ok seriously. I thought…
Bas and Aew tried. You can’t force love. It’s Teh who has Aew’s heart. I can relate. My family and friends felt someone else was perfect for me. He was their ideal. But my heart belonged to another and I have never regretted my decision. 50 years later and I would make the same choice.....for better or worst....that what Aew chose and I love both he and Teh. Thanks for sharing your viewpoint. Live well.
I think I know why I'm so attached to the second season, I see myself in it. The same thing happened between me…
They chose to step out on faith. Nothing in this life is guaranteed. Is what you feel right now enough to carry you ? That’s what I loved about my vows for better or worse....it’s a declaration that there are going to be some dark times...Aew and Teh have matured and are better for it. I just love this and I kept hoping they would get back together. Kudos to the entire cast.
Wow.... Finally! Well, I stopped at ep 2 but I was with you guys all along - It was just so interesting to read…
Very interesting. I too have questioned the use of the word masterpiece but to each its own. I don’t believe in painting every one with the same brush. I knew people who cheated on their partners. As a young person I thought they were bad people but as I grew older I saw they were not necessarily bad people. In some cases they were naive or just plain weak. Anyway I appreciate your perspective.
I can't imagine BL watchers who want only "fluff" would come anywhere near either of these two masterpieces. They…
Please I respect your opinion but I am not ashamed to say I enjoy SOTUS, SOTUS S, They laid the foundation and paved the way for ITSAY and IPYTM. ITSAY has a 8.2 rating. A Tale of A Thousand Stars has a 8.6. I also loved Love By Chance and Life On the Line. There were serious social issues addressed in each so I would not call them garbage. But that’s your opinion. I have friends and family who would consider any bl as garbage because they deal with samesex relations. That’s them. I have found the bl genre both enlightening and informative. Of course there are some that just didn’t appeal to me. Again I do respect your right to your opinion.
I really have enjoyed reading your comments but I must caution you. The friends to lovers scenario can backfire. Yes it is a plus if you are friends and that affection you have for one another has been mistaken for love by many couples. Love is just so much more intricate. So as much as I like Q and Bas I don’t really know if they would have been better choices. I’m glad Teh made the choice based on what his heart told him who was best for him. One thing this series did was generate a lot of discussion. That in itself is a great achievement. Take care and live well.
Im happy for him, good for him. He is a great actor and a great singer. He is really talented and with season…
The good thing is I believe Billkin and PP will always be there for one another. They have said this in several interviews. Exploring separate interests is also a part of growing up.
There’s no rule, but actors who have done BL tend to be marked by those roles. It will depend on job offers,…
I applaud his decision. Remember he and PP are still so young. I have read where many continue their education at the college level. That’s smart. My parents would always say it’s good you have Plan A but what’s Plan B.
just watched episode 5 and yes this series is amazing, a masterpiece for me despite me screaming to Oh Aew like…
I agree. It was great seeing the response from others. I really loved Teh’s mother. and Aew’s family seemed to be likeminded also. Sometimes if people would be more supportive and less critical couples can work out their issues. That is another plus for this series.
