I really enjoyed ep 16. At one point I was thinking about dropping this but they seem to be getting back on track. There is something fishy about the pro golfer and his determination to get with the fl. I also am glad to see the youngest son finally meet with the ml’s daughter. AndI feel so sorry for the brother whose wife went to America and cheated on him. I hope she goes back to where she came from. There were some funny parts too…..the head of the rival wine company is too funny. Anyway I will be sticking around for now.
I love love loved today’s episode with Faifa and Wine but the icing on the cake for me was seeing Ohm as Tor. I have missed him so much. He looks great.
Not to worry…the wicked witch is going to get hers and I cant wait ….she reminds me of the witch in Vincenzo who went out in a flame of glory. The only one I will feel sorry for is her daughter. She really loves her mother. Unfortunately we dont get to choose our parents. Look for the real fun and games to begin. I expect ep 11 to be a heartbreaker but I have no doubt our Jung and Seo will rise up from the rubble.
Lol…I am having the hardest time moving on. This is my second time rewatching. Each time I find something new to focus on i.e the setting, the change in tone, the contrasting personalities, the supporting cast, the cinematography , the differences in lifestyles, the change in colors to reflect the current mood, etc. People generally think maintaining contact with former classmates, family, friends for a long period of time is a good thing. But what happens if the dynamics change and it becomes toxic and/or suffocating?. How do you get away? How do you break free? How do you restore balance to your life and learn to breathe freely? How do you find happiness? The only time we actually see DaHoe smile is when he is with Su Hyeon. If there were any happy times with Jamin and SuKim it has long dissipated and is just a memory.
I love love love this series and have enjoyed the various comments. What I cannot wrap my head around is the seemingly sudden outpouring of sympathy for Su Hyeon. At the end he knocks Jaemin out but even in his apology to DaHoe he admits that he literally watched while DaHo was in pain. He acknowledges that he was a scumbag and that he did not deserve to have DaHoe. Sure Jaemin used him but Su Hyeon has some serious issues that had nothing to do with Jaemin. His dad is clearly a nutjob and it is inferred that he is also homophobic. He also has mommy issues. He clearly has anger management issues and a propensity for violence. Did you see the look of fear and terror in DaHoe’s eyes whenever this psycho was around. Yes, there was a tender moment with his niece but I have witnessed gang members show kindness. While I was glad that he finally acknowledged his wrongdoing and I hope he gets the help he needs I do not feel sorry for him. I also admit this may be a little personal to me. When I was younger a friend of the family physically assaulted me. He had serious family issues too. Long story short years passed and I guess he had turned his life around. Good for him. I got a call from a family friend who said he was in town and asked if he could see me. I said no. There would be no kum by yah moments . There would be no hug and friendly exchange from me ever. And I felt the writers portrayed this meeting from the perspective of the true victim which was DaHoe. Maybe we will get a Season 2 which I would love. These four actors certainly gave stellar performances and I would love to see them together again. Their chemistry was literally off the chain. Take care. My next series is TopForm.
Wow! I just finished rewatching and it is even more powerful watching without any interruptions. I cant believe this is Kim Jun Seo’s debut acting role. I look forward to seeing him in future roles. And everyone has been so focused on the four main characters I must say something about the actress and her character as Da On’s sister. One of my major criticisms with bl series is how they depict female characters. Too often the female characters lack substance and are just fillers or window dressing. Not in this case . The character Da Seol is only in two episodes but boy does she provide another important dynamic to the story. She is smart and intuitive. She is not jaded by Jamin’s money. The actress playing the role gave a fine performance. I have seen her in other roles and she is very talented. I am not surprised that the company that gave us Semantic Error is the same company that produced this series. The female characters in that series were also well written. Love the ost How Can I . So much to love about this series. Definitely on my rewatch list.
So far 2025 is turning out to be a great year for bl lovers. My top ten so far: 1. Secret Relationships 2. When It Rains It Pours 3. Our Youth 4. Let the Curse of Tae wan do Be Free 5. ThamePo Heart 6. Jack and Joker 7. Fourever You 8. The Heart Killers 9. See Your Love 10. Golden Blood There are so many yet to come….
Thank you thank you thank you…..all is well in my bl world….10/10 for me….so glad I waited and watched 7 and 8 together. From start to finish this bl had me on the edge of my bed….a bl psycho thriller …. What a roller coaster ride….and I got the perfect love match….that scene in the ambulance had me in tears. Now I can bingewatch the entire series. 8-10 episodes is my ideal….no gratuitous, obligatory side stories. I love how the main focus was on the four and how well the contrast in all four relationships was developed. I also appreciate that the last sequence was devoted to Da On and Seong Hyeon. I even love the final ost. Kudos to the entire cast and production team.
Sorry folks but just looking at Joss and Fluke every week is enough for me. Mond adds just that touch of craziness that will keep us on our toes. I loved it when he said it is too serious….lol…. I take that as a bit of advice to just enjoy the ride. That is exactly what I plan on doing. See you next week.
All the new BL's have low ratings. Not sure if any are worth watching.
I really dont pay attention to ratings that much on this site. Seems like the bl “stars” with a huge fanbase tend to get high ratings even if the storyline is just more of the same.
Like the first episode. I needed a bl that makes me smile. Love the nature setting. It reminds me of Grey Rainbow. The mls look interesting. Two complete opposites. This is going to be fun.
I am really enjoying reafing the comments. Lol. I purposely havent watched ep 7. I am going to wait until ep 8 is over before deciding to finish it. I know alot of us are questioning Daon and some may think the choice should be easy but from experience I know people can make some decisions that make you want to just scream what the f___ is wrong with you! Truth be told in hindsight I look back and ask myself the same thing! And what is so scary is that we hear and read about people like Jaemin and SuHyeon every day. They would rather die and take everyone with them rather than admit defeat. In their twisted minds that is the epitome of love. Where I live we recently had a very brilliant and scholarly doctor who was killed by her estranged partner. Her partner lived in a wealthy community. However , her partner had a tendency toward violent outbursts and had threatened her on numerous occasions. Why then would she agree to meet him alone at the house? We will never know because she is no longer alive. That’s is why when I read the comments about Daou going to meet Jamin at a secluded dark place I too questioned it at first but then I stopped and thought….this really is not as far fetched as one would think. We make these kind of crazy choices all the time. I just hope Da On survives and I hope Hyeon does not get caught in the crossfire.
Imagine not differentiate between fiction and reality and lose your sh*t because other people enjoy a certain…
Yes I loved crazy ass Vegas but I sure would not have introduced him to my son/daughter in real life. I was so happy when Pete quit in the name of love. Now that was some crazy mess. I was even looking forward to a sequel. Yes, I can tell fact from fiction. Anybody meet a Vegas, Jaemin or SuHyeon in real life RUN as fast as you can away from that drama! With that said I hope I see this cast again! Each one understood their assignment and nailed it!
Seong Hyeon smile deserves the whole world! He is such a nice guy.😭♥️ Dating an angry guy is the worst—it's…
I agree. Kdramas tend to romanticize domestic abuse. I guess it makes for good ratings. But in real life it amounts to walking on eggshells. You never know what is going to set the person off. It could be something as asinine as wearing the wrong color that day or talking on the phone too long. Either of those two psychos would be questioning Da On’s every move just as they always have. If he picks either of these two losers he deserves whatever he gets. Believe it or not there are people out there who like so called bad boys. They spend their lives being scared and miserable and wondering why.
Let Free the Curse of Taeqwando.
