Fl is an adopted daughter in the Dai family. She was taken in by her adoptive father when he lost his daughter. Finding his real daughter, he and his family neglect Fl. At 14 she is framed by real daughter and sent to a correction center for 3 years. Out, and determined to leave the Dai family, FL cuts ties with them and goes to find her biological father (which she had previously known his identity but refused to find him because she wanted to stay in the Dai family). She approaches her father, who’s doing a nation-wide search for her. He thinks she’s another girl trying to claim kinship and finds out she really is his daughter later. Going public about their relationship, the real heiress targets and tries to discredit her at every turn (even using FL’s gold digger potential eldest sister in law). With all her plans going in vain, the Dai family bankrupts and FL is made future heiress of He family fortune. For now she studies finance with her father, has a guaranteed spot into Aeronautics Academy and spends time with her 3 grandfathers and many, many older brothers.

The second stepmother plot I’ve seen where parents don’t get involved emotionally. This one was a lot healthier because children changed quickly and there wasn’t any dragged drama of ML’s family members trying to disgrace her over and over. Here ML appears more too! In the other one I watched Zhao Zao Er was FL, her legal husband left as soon as they got their license, came back towards the end and it was obvious they had no second thoughts…

Hey Chris, is this the same drama?
About a soldier with PTSD, who everyone considers a madman. FL died in her original world , she was the daughter of scientists and got cremated by her parents instructions. Then she appeared in the afterlife world asking for a rebirth as a rich woman with people who love her. Instead she transmigrated into that novel where her adopted mother/ ex wife of her deceased adoptive father , and her daughter bully her. So she sells the house and everything left to her by her adoptive parents and flees to the country side, to the village ML currently resides. Is that correct?

Yeah me too!! I was expecting some dark, twisted, lock someone up in a cage , R rated stuff. But I started few minutes in. After doing a little psychology, I do find it very pitiful that people are left out and treated like plagues because someone else or an event caused them to be different.

Ml was FL’s subordinate. One night as he was delivering documents that needed her signature, the drunken woman took advantage of him. She got pregnant and had an accident orchestrated by her eldest uncle. As a vegetable woman who was a few months pregnant, her parents reached out to him, informing him of the situation and suggested he marry her. As a responsible man, he agreed. He instantly bound to an Emotional Value system. The higher his wife’s emotional value or change (being happy, satisfied, startled, scared, angry or in love) the more his rewards. With this he got a limited edition McLaren, strength, martial arts, calligraphy, painting and medical skills. He could even brainwash people into telling the truth. With FL’s family against the marriage, he convinced the elders and counteracts the schemes of her Eldest uncle’s family and young master Lin, who in the guise of being the most compatible to marry FL, eyes the Jiang family’s wealth. With all evil defeated, they have a wedding and their daughter is born.

I enjoyed it. The fact that FL equally liked him and was excited to see him when she became conscious made it better. In some plots the ML acts indifferently when they wake up from a coma (whether or not they like FL), but that wasn’t the case here.
P.S: why am I finding such a good drama after 7 months? Yt hardly ever recommends good stuff to me as soon as they are released :( Glad I found it tho.

Jiang Moxue was engaged to Xiao Yanzhou. In her past life, she repeatedly rejected him and eloped with Sun Zerui on their wedding day. Sun Zerui was a guy planted beside her by her father, stepmother and stepsister, all with the aim of destroying her and owning the dowry her mother left her. She ended up tortured and abused by them and died miserable. Xiao Yanzhou avenged her death and committed suicide. Reborn to the wedding day she eloped, she stopped running and waited for Yanzhou to show up. She returned with him and gradually gained his trust. They defended each other throughout the schemes by FL’s family. With her previous life knowledge, she defeated them and got them punished instead. She also found out that her mom was killed and her stepsister isn’t her dad’s biological daughter. Her father was executed for embezzlement and her stepmother for cheating. Her not-real-stepsister and Sun Zerui kidnapped her and took her to the place she was abused and killed last life. Fortunately, she told ML to look for her at that location if there was a day he couldn’t find her. So ML arrived in time to save her, after which they were dealt with.

Decent watch. Though the constant acting dumb whenever one suspected the other transmigrated was a little annoying, they pulled it off. Till the very end of their time in Republic era, neither of them ever admitted to the other that they transmigrated, no matter how good their relationship was, all we get is speculation. Leads have chemistry tho…

I find such questions very interesting. I think their two possibilities for each;

(1)Jiang Ru Ying would have been more humble if she grew up with her bio parents. Not necessarily kinder but more tolerant.(with attributes to genetics from her mom who was weak in front of her dad). She might have been either more appreciative of her mom being caring in such an environment or hated her mom for being too weak to leave. She might be more cunning, doing evil deeds in secret or deciding to leave her toxic dad and get a better life for herself (and maybe her mom).

(2) Jiang Ru Ying would have been a gold digger or someone who hated the world if she grew up with her bio parents. She would resort to destroying others (like being a Mistress to destroy marriages) and would get great pleasure from seeing others suffer (with attributes to genetics as her dad was ruthless and didn’t care about others)

(1) Bai Xiyue growing up with her bio parents who have been a spoiled heiress deciding either to not get a job and wasting away or she does get a job but uses her identity to throw weight around

(2) Bai Xiyue growing up with her parents and still be humble and respectful (with attributes to genetics) as her parents were respectable figures with great character. She might still be a surgeon (it’s in her blood) or chosen another career. With the love and support from her father, she would still accomplish great things.
