Shohei was soft af in the manga, but Itsuki was a bit rougher (though incredibly kind to Shohei).
Many of them tie into their series, and while it's not always chronological (the first Gaim Gaiden movie takes place midway through the season, but plays with information only revealed near the season's end), the order can be deliberate. Though Geats Extra: Kamen Rider Gazer can be watched before the movie Jyamato Awakening that it leads into. But yeah, best to watch them in relative order, at least for each respectove seasons...
this is the reason i didn't like how considerate Shizuma was, how he tried to understand Minato's b*tchy behavior…
Yeah, the forgiving him over the bet was a lot better done in the manga, where Shizuma realized Minato felt trapped by his own lies about it, but genuinely loved him. The drama kinda skips most of that...
I don't know if it's because I put the manga on such a high pedestal so I'm incredibly biased and picky but it…
Yeah. Some of the changes bother me too. Like, I understand the amusement park stuff probably had to be changed to fit where they filmed, but other stuff doesn't have that excuse. Like, why did the drag bar have to be changed to a general LGBT bar with only one drag queen? One of the side characters there is recognizably one of the drag queens from the manga, too, but here doesn't crossdress at all. Was there some BS "consultants" involved?
I hopped into this show thinking it would be an obnoxiously-humorous parody similar to 'The Shipper' or 'Zettai…
Yeah, I also loved how basically every major character was fleshed out and given proper motivations, even when it would have been very easy to just portray them entirely negatively. It fits in well with the show's themes and frankly just makes me like the show more.
This was a great series. It was especially great with how it focused on the perspectives and reasoning of people who we would often be inclined to reject outright. A major theme of the show is that things are rarely ever as simple as we like to think they are, and it shows that there is often much more nuance behind things in ways we would likely never consider. Additionally, this show is just beautiful in its storytelling. Definitely would recommend.
But yeah, best to watch them in relative order, at least for each respectove seasons...
