i tried to connect the dots in my head but i can’t connect shit so like always i am just going to wait for the…
I agree with Everything you said! Merde! I find I'm in a love hate relationship here. I love the twists but i hate that I have to wait a whole damn weak to continue the threads they leave hanging until the next mind boggling episode. Now Im going to stop theorizing and just give in...lmao!
Im slightly confused but im somewhat get it. Anyone has this feeling? So we know the OG Bulgasal.
I totally get you. Im confused as hell because they keep dropping these bombs everytime you think you know whats happening...but you sorta think you know where its going. I'm just going to give in and go along for the ride.
I guess I'm on the opposite end of most people here, where I came in with high expectations and ended up so disappointed that I dropped it. I can only say that I love Bua as an actress and as the reviewer explains, she was never the lead and that changed my mind real quick. I'm glad she ended up with Krating's character though so I basically watch the couple videos on Youtube just to get my fix.
agree with point 2, but what about when 'Sang Un' stab Hwal and past the curse onto him while made her reborn…
Ive been thinking about that part as well. Maybe she wanted to end Eul Tae and so she purposefully 'turned Hwal into her weapon' by switching souls with him. So Sang Un has his soul and he has her immortality? The story is so different from the type of vampire lore we are used to so the whole concept of turning humans into immortals is left entirely up to speculation. Which raises even more questions and makes me wary of Sang Un's motives, especially if we're not quite sure if Bulgasal is the equivalent of a vampire or just a type of monster.
Yep... did you see when he was in Dan Hwal house the way he was holding that jacket and caressing it.. kinds smelling…
I did see that and that makes him such a complex character. I cant wait to see the full revelation of his back story. He just seems like a child who has stunted emotional development. Kinda sympathetic but cruel. You cant really overlook all the hateful things hes done.
Im throwing my hat in the ring to theorize...... 1. Ok Eul Tae is originally Hwal's half brother, who in a fit of jealousy kills Hwal (Cain and Able style) and was cursed somehow after he met Sang Un who witnessed this. 2. Ok Eul blames it on Sang Un and creates the myth of Bulgasol so he could cover up the murder. He also goes around dressed up like Sang Un while he feeds so he could blame it on her. 3. The witch says that once lives have been touched by some atrocity that they are forever attached to each other and will forever be reborn close to each other, im assuming until all the wrongs are righted and the curse is broken.
****what i dont get is why Ok Eul Tae says he was born a monster though. Still working it out but I kind of love that I have to use my brain :)))
I am equal parts sympathetic and angry towards Rum's mother. On one side her child is a grown up and im pretty sure she wouldn't have been able to stop her if she could. Buut on the other hand, im left wondering how in the blue blazes the mother didnt gather her for the spoiled thing she was turning into and take her out of the house. Its one thing to be able to actually stop your child from making horrible decisions, but you could have at least taken drastic steps to show how strongly you felt towards said mistakes. Every day that she did nothing reinforced that for Rum.
Btws...anyone know what the status of this show is? Have they started shooting again? This messiness is what's helping to get me through the pandemic
Did i miss an episode...because i dont remember him raping Ram.?Pretty sure it was consensual.
Aaw...I get what you're saying but respectfully disagree. He's an idiot but i dont consider her a victim. What age should a child grow to before they should consider the weight of their actions?Absolving her of any wrongdoing wont teach her right from wrong. Calling her a victim at this point just seems wrong.
There seems to be an average of 2 such scenes per episode. Haha!
Pong called Nabi on the phone and asked to sleepover at her condo. Win heard and got mad jealous. He picked her up because she wouldnt set him straight and they went at it on the table.
Dang it!! I try to stay away from Kdramas...not because they're bad but because they're heavily addictive. I lost all choice with this one. I haven't laughed so hard while watching a series in a long time. ??
I also didn't really notice the product placement until a friend complained. Then I realized they always eat at…
...wow :)) That is hella interesting. Thanks for pointing that out. Ads are so insidious in western media that i hardly pay attention to them now. I think we tend to lean more towards emphasizing timed ads than placement ads. I honestly cant tell anymore? aaand that might not be such a good thing either.
Im mid watching because unlike most viewers im not a fan of stanning actors on a whole (thats a whole other beast onto itself). Instead, i find myself drawn to the characters being portrayed. Which pretty much explains my aversion to behind the scenes videos, as i find that they serve as an interruption to my viewing experience. Le Sigh*** Seeing all the hyped up bts vids of the actors relating with each other drove my anticipation waay down. Then came the bipolar audience reaction and needless to say im heavily frustrated while watching. **Im seeing the plotholes **Dont understand the whole product placement issue as I dont know half the brands or stop to recognize when they are being plugged. And believe me ive seen worse in the Chinese version of Meteor Garden...-_- ***I do occasionally watch these series after ive found a particular actor's portrayal of a character to be insanely intriguing so I have seen the leads in other series. To me their acting is dependable. Meaning there was never an instance of them acting out of their character's context.
I'm now on the 7th epi and while i havent binged it.... its watchable.
Im not so sure i can get pass the mistreatment of the FL? I like a lil bit of drama but c'mon now the embarrassment is getting a bit much. Someone mentioned below that there's no need for that many villains and I agree! Im waiting until its done so i can FF through some of these scenes...yess Im a wimp?
It's a very weird ending. From what I remembered, she dies (in a sense) and gets reborn. But I dont remember them having a happy ending. Rewatching now with subs to find out.
I've just finished watching...and DAMN that was some of the best characterization I've ever seen. I mean Woon Tak the character has one of the best arcs ive ever seen on tv. Mad props to the actor. Ive seen him in Secret too and he did a stellar job of making me hate him and then left me confused, just like he did here. I'm not a fan of Korean drama as much, but when I find a gem like this one it makes up for all the craptastic ones I've seen. Such a humanistic portrayal of mankind in its dark, obsessive greed and selfishness.Woon Tak, like humanity on a whole, got taken over by his sins (not the right word, but alas it escapes me). He carries the mental wounds of growing up poor, being raised by highly flawed parents themselves. I don't blame him for falling victim to his circumstances, but I also think he deserved his sentence. He is so manipulative (not as skilled as other drama characters such as in Cheese in the Trap), even to the end I felt like he was playing on Soon Jins weakness. This should never be labelled a romance, unless we're talking about the other sisters. I wonder at Soo Soon's absence in the last few episodes, but I was so caught up in Soo Jin and Woon Tak that I didn't really mind. I give it an 8.5. P.S. I want to write an in depth review, but I've just ran the gamut of grad school and I've been drinking in celebration, soooo I won't be able to give it the justice it deserves. Ah well:]

Currently adding my fave boxed wine and settling in for a weekend discovery of similar
feel-good K-dramas.
