Title Behind the Revenge Spoiler
It's not different in this version, he is clearly only interested in Yodtian. As for Ponwalai, he is just leading…
Totally agree. Anyone can see that this version is by far more focused on the psychology of Walai and the pathology of Nitan (and that's just to prop him up as her antagonist). I mean we got more of a character back story for him and his ex baby mother than Nop. All we know is he is a devoted son and brother and that he briefly searched for Thian after their first meeting.

Same! I have no idea how I got to this show but nevertheless it is extremely entertaining and I intend to watch it all once subs are all out

I didnt know what to expect...I wasnt prepared but it was pretty good, even with the dubbing. Very well done.
It kinda reminds me of a lighter version of Secretary. Maggie Gyllenhaal wasnt aware of the bdsm community until she met her boss either. She had to fight to get through to her Dom, so it wasn't as gentle and endearing as this one.

***I noticed that someone made the same comment about the reccomended series similar to this. Fyi...if you're looking.

Why do I feel so empty ? Just don't know how to live without Bulgasal. Perhaps Bulgasal becomes a part of my life,…
I finished it earlier today and I too feel the same πŸ˜’πŸ˜“
Now I'm searching for something to fill its space...ughπŸ˜”πŸ˜“

I think that all 3 either elicits absolute dislike or absolute props from the audience on their own merits. You'll either love it or hate it...and that's okay. Perception is a mutha when you're dealing with millions of people from different spaces and places or mindset. Its just illogical to think that we'll all love or vibe with everything we watch. Or
anything really. And Im definitely seeing what SwanSong1 sees too. Like you I feel like I have a reasonable grasp on what's going on. But i do understand if others dont

I was connecting the feel of those dramas rather than the plotlines or story development...if that makes more sense. Of course we realized that the cult in HellBound was wrong but we weren't really sure what the beings were and we still dont know what their motivations are, where exactly they're from and obvs there are still questions left unanswered from both SH and HB so I expect no less from Bulgasal. Id love for them to wrap it up, but there are many shows/movies around the world where having a neatly wrapped up ending is not a thing that is normally done. I drew lines of similarities among the 3 in that sense.

I have to say Bulgasal's use of symbolism, coloring, cinematography and parallels are well done despite the slow…
It's part of what kept me drawn to the story. I really like how the soundtrack binds them all together too. Everything is so perfectly combined to add to the storytelling. As a fantasy and lore fan I am greatly entertained.

Can someone pls explain how the 4 ganged up on him and killed him? First how do they know each other , this was…
I think this was when OET killed his brother and blamed it on Bulgasal, and thats why 'Detective Kwon,' 'Si Ho' and the son attacked him. The whole village was probably riled up into hunting and killing Hwal maybe.
It looked like SU tried to save them by stabbing herself because it would weaken/kill him (not sure why yet).
Then he hated her for taking their sides and what he saw as abandoning him so he made sure to be reincarnated as a human so he could see why she was so enamoured with humans.
Thats just my hottake so far...maybe tomorrow will fill in the gaps (or turn our entire theories on its head). Definitely feels like a Hellbound or Sweet Home type of drama to me.πŸ₯΄πŸ™ƒ

THE HUG
It.was.an.awesome scene. I kept expecting someone/something to interrupt them though because they barely get any time to explore their current feelings for each other.

Man what a ride so far. I think im as afflicted by audience bias as everyone else in the fact that I am mad as hell that the characters dont have the foresight to see why they cant make certain decisions, like going back to a place that we the audience know will be targeted by Ok Eul T somehow.
They are stressed, afraid and just want to feel comforted by their loved ones, so of course they went back even though being warned they shouldnt. It's just human for us to want to feel comforted when in a crisis. Take the pandemic for one. I dont agree with half the shit people are doing, prolonging the state we're in but I understand why people still try to gather together despite the danger.

Back to the show....I think it's hard to understand as an audience that we see the
bigger picture when the charcters do not.
Certain developments are privy to us but not them.

*On the back end...I am sad that Ms Lee died but I didnt fully trust her because of her role 600 years ago. In the back of my mind, I was suspicious of her true history with Hwal because in the beginning I thought she cursed him.
I think I broke down during ep 14 because the writers did a great job of building out their relationship on the back end...not something ive ever seen done in Western dramas and i find that I appreciate that. This is exactly why I love Korean dramas, because Nothing is ever as it seems and you basically have to just sit and watch while your brain explodes and your expectations are constantly changing.

Someone theorized a while back that Hwal and Sang Un were gods in a previous life...ep 13 seems to be hinting at that somehow.
All I know is I'm never watching a show while it airs anymore. The main reason I gravitate to Asian dramas is because there are so many grrat stories I can consume in a bing watch.
Waahh! The wait is unbearable πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

I think its really interesting. You should definitely go ahead and give it a try if you like Fantasy or Lore type shows.
On the other hand, if you're more a fan of romance then you might be disappointed.
