Title 2 Moons 2
2 Moons is season 12 Moons 2 is season 22 Moons: The Ambassador is season 3
Based on comments and posts, I thought 2 Moons: The Ambassador was season 3 and started up right after 2 Moons 2 ended. However ... that does not seem to be the case.

It starts with the 3 main couples talking (with Wayo obviously fine), and then goes into the next year, because there is another Star & Moon competition with the incoming freshman. So some significant time has to have passed.

Maybe they back track at some point, but I'll be surprised (based on how it starts).

Title 2 Moons 2
New viewer of the 2 Moon universe .... watched the first season (2 Moons) for Bas as Wayo and watching the second…
I just finished this season and I was so frustrated. Pha lets people hang on him and gets upset when Wayo gets jealous. Yes, Wayo should have just said something instead of acting immature, but Pha doesn't get to act superior or guilt Wayo as if he did nothing wrong. Add in the sexual guilt/pressure after someone made him the target of a public sexual rumors was just completely tone deaf ... especially after promising Wayo that he could set the pace and he was fine to wait.

All 3 couples had issues with public and private affection. Go at your own pace, that's fine. But none of the couples seemed in sync. Even something as simple as handholding seemed like a battle of wills. There was plenty of time to navigate their comfort levels ... not much happened in the storyline. If they were going to fill time with fluff then it would have been much better spent on them strengthening their bonds instead of falling back on tired jealousy scenes. (I know this is from years ago, but I'm just seeing it now, so I'm bummed after hearing the series often recommended.)

I have to at least start season 3 ... 2 Moons: The Ambassador ... because of the way this ended. I didn't like it, but atleast it was an actual plot point ... and they just stop in the middle of it. Made no sense. I don't know if I'll watch the entire season though. I'll have to see how that specific part plays out and if I'm interested in the new characters that are supposed to take the leading roles this time. Again, it's a brand new cast all the way through.

2 Moons 2 is season 2
2 Moons: The Ambassador is season 3 - I haven't seen this one yet, but I hear it picks up right where 2M2 ended

Title 2 Moons 2
New viewer of the 2 Moon universe .... watched the first season (2 Moons) for Bas as Wayo and watching the second season (2 Moons 2) for Joong as Ming.

The first 4 episodes of season 2 seem to be a quick recap of season 1 .... which is weird and smart at the same time. Same characters and story, brand new faces. So I suggest watching these 4 episodes as a way to get used to the new faces before the new story content starts in episode 5.

Can you watch season 2 starting at episode 5 ... yes, probably.

Can you watch season 2 starting at episode 1 if you haven't seen season 1 .... I don't suggest it. Condensing 12 episodes down to 4 automatically leaves out a ton of important stuff already, but there are specific things/reactions/references that make no sense in the recap if you don't have knowledge of certain other things. I watched 2 Moons and went immediately into 2 Moons 2, so I was able to fill in the holes just fine. But viewers who don't have that added context may find themselves lost or annoyed in places.

FYI ... I really liked Bas's Wayo in 2 Moons. I'm sad the company drama meant the original actors couldn't return for sequels .... but I'm liking Earth's Wayo in 2 Moons 2 so far, and Joong is doing great as Ming. I'm glad I gave it a chance. The test will be how things go with the new material starting in ep 5.

There may be something to this show, but I'll wait to revisit it once all the eps are available. Definitely a "mood" watch.

I watched this for Tonliew and he did not disappoint.

Episodes get shorter as the series progresses, so this is basically a 2 hour movie broken up into 14 parts.

My prediction .... I think DaOn was always the target, and the other 2 got together as a way to keep one or the other from him.

My guess is JaeMin agreed to be with Su Hyeon because he knew Su Hyeon was dangerous.

But I've seen other guesses that have JaeMin as the bad guy and Su Hyeon as the protector. But if that is the case ... then why has Su Hyeon been gone for so long without JaeMin harming DaOn, and why is he suddenly back wanting JaeMin back as a boyfriend?

Still lots to figure out.

In uni... was it.... a honest to goodness triangle? It has been ages since I've seen a real one. Not a love angle,…
That isn't my guess. I wondered too, but DaOn's attempts at confessing to JaeMin lean me towards a friend group. I could be totally wrong. It's basically a commercial for a drink. That's fine if you know it going in. Also ... happy ending here is subjective. Happy For Now is more likely. I have a feeling that if these characters were real people then they would all be paired with different people a year from now.

Would love to see these two in something else. The main storyline had potential, but it got lost in all the side antics. I was okay with the show not being super serious about serious topics .... but there was too much going.

- The 2nd couple did well and matched the tone of the show.

- The 3rd couple was over the top. It was a series already limited to 8 episodes ... why the need for a 3rd couple? I am actually fine with including a sex addiction plotline in a series ... but there just wasn't enough room here without it being used as a joke.

- The 4th couple was completely unnecessary. I think the time given to the doctor couple could have been better spent on the main couple.

- The hotel owner and obnoxious assistant .... a fine villain/foil concept ... but none of it was believable. From the barely-out-of-his-teens actor playing a hotel mogul to the assistant being such a creeper for most of the show. Be a love rival or be a hotel trying to get the land ... having them both in this way was too much.

- Sangmin's parents made no sense. Why ... why why .... why why why why????? All that wasted time with the other side bits could have been used to explain this better and show more of Sangmin and Dinneaw's story.

They gave Hill & Ter way too much time, mind you, Ter’s dad didn’t apologize to Hill and Hill’s grandpa…
For season 1 (in the books), Hill and Ter sort out their stuff within the first semester of year 1. By the time Jo and North's book starts, HillTer are already official. Johan and North's story finishes out the rest of year 1.

For season 2, we'll definitely get some Fah and Phoon flashbacks since they've known each other since they were toddlers. Fah's family moves when he is around 16 (Phoon was around 15) so they don't actually see each other again until they end up at the same university. And how they are in that first year/season is pretty much how they are in the book too. Things don't start to improve for them until part way through year 2.

Arthit and Dao don't actually meet until much later when Dao moves into the condo next to Arthit at the start of year 3.

So, for either couple, unless they adjust the timeline then we shouldn't get too many, if any, BU or LITA type flashbacks that need to repeat anything that happened in season 1.

I really hope we do get the 2nd season with the other 2 couples since they peaked more interest in Fah and Phoon!!!Also…
season 2 was officially confirmed today, so I'm hopeful.

The thing with Johan's mom is better explained in the book. She is much more glamorous, handsy, and nosy in the book, which causes scenes since she wants Jo to treat her like a sister instead of a mother ..... and he didn't want her bothering North and making him uncomfortable since they had just officially gotten together. They toned her down A LOT for the series.

Tiger and Nao have their own book ... so their story will continue in season 2.

I'm so upset. After all, I'll have to wait another 8 days to see the ending. Why did they postpone it another…
Originally it was supposed to be 16 eps for part one, with 1 bonus episode for TigerNao (according to Maxky and Bas during one of their lives on IG or TikTok). That would have put the finale on Jan 16th and the bonus episode on Feb 1st .... for the actual Thai broadcast on tv.

But then the fans were overwhelmingly (and justifiably) upset at JoNorth's lack of screen time so they re-edited the remaining episodes and filmed new content to show more of their story. 16 regular episodes became 17 .... but the tv schedule was already set so their regular Thursday tv spot wasn't available. That means the finale episode is now in the timeslot the bonus episode was supposed to fill and no official word on the bonus episode.

The rescheduling announcement said we'd get a surprise on the 25th when the finale "Fast Track" option becomes available via the WeTV/Tencent app. My guess is that they will tell us when the special TigerNao episode will be available. I'm hoping for an update on season 2, but they are probably still figuring that out so I'm not getting my hopes up for that yet.

I've watched all 16 eps now, and I'm wondering if the Johan/North bath kiss (shown in the trailer) already happened…
That was in the trailer/pilot that they filmed to send around to secure funding, not sure it'll be in the final edit of the series. I'm thinking not, because that happens during their Norway trip at the end of the book, but based on the teaser for ep 17, it looks like they are ending part one of the series by both couples doing their hometown/family visits. I don't think we'll get to see JoNorth's Norway trip, which would be a shame.

Also ... Maxky and Bas were talking about the special episode in a recent live .... the special episode is going to be focused on TigerNao.
