I want to watch this but can't get over Michelle Chen, not trying to be rude but she is not pretty for the main lead. Zhang Viann is so much prettier she should have been the lead, or even Zhao Li Ying instead of her being a guest star.

Well I think she did because they made a vow. Then shortly he did what he did; but I've always thought he should have been redeemed in someway. Through it all he never gave up on her. An you're right they did have initial chemistry to have been a leading pair.
I think she ends up with Mo Yuan, here's why:
1. Bai Qian is starting to regain her memory eventually she'll remember that Ye Hua took out her eyes.
He asked her (as Bai Qian) what she would do if he took out her eyes. She told him it would be over between them. When she remembers, she'll be devastated that he did that to her.
2. Ye Hua will end up sealing the bell as his ultimate sacrifice to prove his love for her.
Just started watching this (on ep.12) and it's so good, the episodes are flying by too fast. Reminds me of journey of flower, but obviously different plots and story line.
All the casts are amazingly good; and so many eye candy on the female casts :)
Just finished watching this, I can't believe they just ended it like that; so frustrating.
If they are planning on season 3, I hope they can get all the original casts or else I can see it flopping.

Heavenly Sword and Dragon Saber (2009) is really good imo, weak hero then gets stronger.
Legend of the Condor heroes (2008) also very good, same thing weak hero then turns powerful.

Well that ending wasn't too bad, reminds me of Lu Zhen ending. I'm satisfied they were able to get a few years together, but was still heart breaking seeing them cry knowing their loved one was going to die.
I love all the casts and the different relationships; great chemistry between all of them. It was really an enjoyable show overall.
I though it was a good show, the story started dragging at times, but overall i think the mains had great chemistry. And it was a happy ending which is a rare gem in c-drama.
