Question on the origami in spoiler
Yes, Japanese Folklore and sayings about a tortoise living for 10 000 years. So it represents longevity. Since she almost died of cancer at 37, they wish long life for her.

The other piece is a rabbit not a crane and it represents

I don't think the drama tried to give Reina and Tomoya a redemption arc.
I'm glad they didn't, I was going to hate it if they did. I think evil characters should just be left to be evil not everyone has to be good.

I just started watching this and I already like this much better than the korean version. I read the manhwa before…
This is not remake, it has same elements but a different reimagining.

Title Strobe Edge
Do people consider such passive behavior love? I really didn't like it nor did I find the self growth and self discovery that obvious. She was still laughing away through the pain or whatever it is. What's with all the running and falling? Classic shoujo move?

Where can i find the raw video of this movie?
Found it on some rando site, if you're still looking with Chinese subs.

Why the hell would they wait for freaking TEN YEARS to get married though?! Didn't they confess their love in…
Why? It's up to the fictional characters what they wanted to do with their lives. Get married or not. It's not everyone's desire to define the relationship.

Also this reflects the modern world we live in, people aren't rushing to get married.

It's not Korean makjang by the way. The person that wrote the script is an award-winning scriptwriter who writes…
You probably didn't watch the drama but just like arguing with people in the comments section.

If you read the interviews with Studio Dragon you will see that they bought the rights to the webtoon from the author of manhwa/webtoon with the intention of making a Japanese version.

So no it wasn't the screenwriter's idea to come up with a Japanese version. But it was the screenwriter's job to write a script that stayed true to Japanese values.

Blame Studio Dragon for wanting to profit. FYI, they are making more Jdorama remakes so you're going to be pressed for a long time.

Maybe it is because I barely watch any drama/movie recently but I found the cinematography is very refreshing…
I still give Jdorama 10 even without stunning cinematography for never wasting my time.

Both dramas have their pros and cons, but let's be real the fiance story almost killed the K-version so yeah,…
The fact that Japan can do stuff with six actors and still give you a satisfactory ending is why I consider them geniuses and master storytellers.

Why the hell would they wait for freaking TEN YEARS to get married though?! Didn't they confess their love in…
Because Tomoya and Reina. They both worked in their careers again, he probably didn't want to tie her down again.

can i ask....Its has been released already??
They always used Japanese time. There's a 16 hour difference and I always found it there just after it dropped in Japan.

This was a thrilling watch honestly and all the actors ate their roles 👏 but I didn't like Reina's ending...that…
They wanted the soul exchange, it mirrors Misa's first ending in E1. So I guess that's why they they had to go that route.

I almost never laughed in the korean version but this version has a lot of comedy element in it haha
They turned Tomoya into a real clown, not to mention the combo of him and his mother. Such a funny duo.
On Lesson of the Evil Jul 23, 2025
The sound of the gun firing got too much. It must have been so irritating and disturbing to watch this drama at the cinema.
On Abnormal Family Jul 23, 2025
Always fun watching an almost half-century-old movie. Nothing much has changed. There isn't much that happens, just some X-rated scenes and the oppressive institution of marriage.

Thanks for the subs, do you still do them?
On Super Happy Forever Jul 21, 2025
One of those Japanese movies where nothing happens but it's still a good watch. All the little connections we make in life, if we allow ourselves to.
