Honestly, she was kind of annoying. I don't find this type of personality fun or inspiring. I find them kind of fake in their fake way of trying to fix everything and everyone without conversations or nuance. Very childish obsession with family and lack of practical thinking skills, smiling in a typhoon, and saying you'll pray should only be done after taking practical steps.
I was so scared of watching this movie because of the synopsis. Sadly, I ended up being so annoyed with the direction that the movie took as the FL acted so strangely. I understand she was greiving but that was so messed up. She deserved to be left dancing in the rain.
The best version that evokes a a spectrum lot of emotions. That woman was so annoying, though. Why did she insert herself into his life? I can't decide if she helped him or distracted him ...but she does ask the most important question of all. "All those who kill get a lesser punishment..."
Trippy and annoying more than anything, that music and weird, crazy laughing made it worse. I also hate that movies try to connect BSMD with crime and 🍇. So ridiculous.
The father is also kind of weird, you find out that your daughter caused all these sort of things and you don't apologize but. Really, wish I had never watched it.
I can see why they were put in the box (haha). All the kids died because of Mao's stupid policies. The Red Guards gloated that they could now run the hospital as if science could be learned through wild ideas and theories.
Great movie but heartbreaking in some parts. I would never have survived the Cultural Revolution because it was such a dumb idea. Burning the puppets, drawing a line between your neighbours when they are branded capitalist or reactionary revolutionary. So relevant in 2025
Not a bad movie, I enjoyed this better than Light Shop, another of Kang Ful's works. I think the fact that it was short worked out in my favor. Sad to see KSR, who sadly passed away, but she was so good even at that young age to tackle two roles. RIP to her.
And how in the world did Taeko survive those wounds lol. As much as I remember she dies in the manga . And nozaki's…
I also didnt understand their friendship. Did they drift apart because of a boy or where they in some type of lesbian relationship. (Nozaki and Taeko). Thanks in advance.
