"smile when you eat something delicious" Took me a while to watch this but I finally found it and it was so beautiful. Slow peaceful and speaks into the depths of your soul. if you're lost or looking for something , there's hope for you.
I can't decide whose worse between these two. Though I think the man is the worst for blaming her about the nausea and how he was inconvenienced by it. He says he wants to talk but says the most horrible things to her. She's right he's a 最低 (saitei) that doesn't even want to wear a condom..because it's a matter of his principles but doesn't want to be a dad. She should have taken the morning after pill too but since it was the guy's second time he has greater responsibility.
I tried my best to like it and the fact that they kept speaking about FL being exotic and Chinese made me feel uncomfortable knowing the way Koreans are sinophobic. I love Tang Wei but I just couldn't with this film, even 2x speed it was still kind of hard to get through.
I think the synopsis does it more justice than it actually is. It felt like watching a B-rated adult film that hasn't decided on whether or not what it wants to be. People randomly having tentacles all over their body reminded me of hentai and some crazy fantasies.
did not like the ending not because I wanted it to be different but because it happened to fast and abrupt. We…
They really embrace ableism in their dramas. If there's a disabled character he or she is there to be pitied and used as emotional leverage.
This is not just ableist — it's reductive and dehumanizing. It frames disability as something tragic or inspirational, rather than as a normal part of human diversity.Reinforces stigma, framing disabled people as either helpless or burdens
Even the use of tears and loud crying is exaggerated.
That delulu woman (nurse/wife) honestly was so out of touch with reality and a bit irritating in her failure to read the room. Kindness without thought is not helpful at all. The situation of the resident was untenable and couldn't be solved by kindness alone. Yes, they could delay it but eventually they needed to make hard decisions which the woman seems oblivious to.
Fighting ageism one movie at a time. I like it when we see that life doesn't stop just because you're old. Society tries too hard to separate us by groups (age, sex, ect)
Beautiful, calm, breath taking and a cultural experience of Japanese Sumi-e (墨絵) art. The cinematography, the house, furniture all add to the artistic experience of the movie.
Trigger Warning ⚠️ : serous depiction of violent bullying.
Watched without subs, but I could still follow along. They take pride in their culture of driving each other to the edge. I wish they made more movies trying to work on this issue.
Found myself rooting for her. It had some irritating parts displaying the human condition but poignant in it's display of guilt and the need for closure.
Slow paced but I liked the whole premise of family, home and forgiveness. Her dad's story, their quiet relationship and his final redemption was sad but a good watch.
This version is much lighter and funnier than the Korean version even though it has gore. Migi is really funny. Like an overbearing friend you don't want to have. I think I like this better.
I'm so glad he healed. Him I understood, her I didn't understand at all. She acted a bit desperate and need but glad she got it together.
