Beautiful cinematography, but melodramatic and a bit sad. It's also based on a novel, but the novel has the same vague ending. I had alot of questions and whys, after watching. I wish the writer had explored some of the ideas more. It just felt like characters were a bit one dimensional.
Ignored this movie for the longest time but once you start watching it. you cannot easily dismiss it from your mind. I thought i would be bored but it was strangely crazy, captivating, sad and messed up in that Japanese movie way we all have come to appreciate. It's never neat and tidy but rather, complicated.
An unusual movie, a bit graphic and heavy on the rape/sex scenes.Lets just say, i got the message of the movie but some of the scenes were just a repetition of the same things. 7/10 watchable if you can separate the good from the bad.
The ending was rushed and unsatisfactory. Can a 20 year resentment and abandonment be resolved so easily?.
So he never thought of writing to his kids or anything?. So at the end it was the mother's fault for cheating but the father was a serial cheater who was away from home most of the time?.
He was a bad father and should have admitted it, instead of trying to explain his mistakes away. What a worthless dad.
After researching about the true events that inspired the drama i felt so bad for watching a movie that looks like it was making a mockery of the gruesome & shocking incidents.
This is a beautiful movie, with it's own shortcomings. But i mostly accept those short comings , and i'm angry…
The only comforting thing at the end is that at least You Yu knows where his Daddy Mark 2 is. He can always find him when he is a little older & therefore their separation is temporary.
This is a beautiful movie, with it's own shortcomings. But i mostly accept those short comings , and i'm angry about some of them & the evident injustices that are not resolved. But i'm still so touched and still sort of get it.
I don't really agree with the philosophy of this drama. The father was mean and said some spiteful things to his daughter. Not her fault she is born a woman.
Movie is watchable but not that memorable. Not what i expected. A very mellow love story with a simple message. Stay in the present & enjoy what you have in this moment. Don't wait for tomorrow.
I watched it for the LGBTQ+ tag, but turned out not to be the main story or in the story at all.. Anywhere, i wanted to forget this movie as soon as i finished watching it.
Men have been cheating since the beginning of time & society accepts it. It's time you accept that women can and…
Maybe we watched two different shows because that's not what i saw. What i saw was a series of scenarios that highlighted the problems in marriage and how these led the female characters into seeking love & pleasure elsewhere. All the marriages had problems it's not like they just randomly cheated. It's not a justification.
Whose responsibility was it to fix the messy marriages?.
I hope all the women who justify the cheating women in this drama get cheated on by their partners because that…
Men have been cheating since the beginning of time & society accepts it. It's time you accept that women can and will satisfy their sexual needs elsewhere as well.
I hope you come home one day and find your partner in bed getting some
Mmmh that sounds juicy, i might even join them.
Seriously, though don't get angry over a drama whose message is simple. The message was, you too can get a little slice of happiness from random and unexpected sources. That's all i saw in the drama besides the ethical and moral issues.
Trippy movie, but very hot & interesting. I read all the comments on here & have my own conclusions.
I think the brother survived and not the husband. When the movie begins it is the brother that is narrating and letting us know what happened. How he meet her & how she looked like a wilted flower etc. While we hear the perspective of the husband from the wedding video. On the bridge, the husband says to the brother she will never love you because she thinks of me.ie. they had the same identical face. It would therefore make sense for brother to ask which one of us did you love because of the husband's outburst.
I also feel like her husband loved her/ obsessed too much to have left her in the end. He even pretended/,impersonated to be his brother so he could be with her (at the apartment) & feel her love or whatever that was. If he wasn't dead i think he would be the one more likely to be with her than leave her and go to another country since it seems he went to extremes to try & have her.
The brother had long decided that he was going to leave before they left for the bridge/mountain when he called his brother.
Also the wife watching the wedding video,i dont think she would do that if she knew her husband was alive. She watches the videos when he is in a coma, to remember him and at the end because he is probably gone.
Also all the creepy things that the husband did like getting the same haircut, that apartment with a passcode he knew, wearing his brothers clothes all point to the fact that he knew she didn't love him anymore & loved his brother hence wanting to look like his brother. He also admits that they both played the game of impersonating each other. But he still plays his wife after asking his brother not to play the game anymore.
It feels like these twins constantly played a game of sharing partners because the husband reacted to the shoelace woman's kiss when he was in a comma but didn't react to his wife's own kisses.
It just felt like characters were a bit one dimensional.
