I agree, i remember feeling sad after watching this because i felt like there really was no lesson just blame. Blaming her for wanting to be loved and acknowledged by her father. They expected too much from her as well, while her brothers did no wrong. My heart broke thinking of all the women who have to live under the glare of the society.

Nina was the cutest thing in this drama. There were a few description of black being ugly and other racist references. Made me wonder if the kid would be okay, growing up around people like that. Grandma eventually came around.

Good movie,but s few unresolved issues that i would have loved know.

Should have watched this sooner.Beautiful movie, full of all symbolism about family, mother-role and mother,-figures,nature vs nurture. Just didn't like the ending,broke my heart. but i guess that's why i like Japanese movies. The good ones always leave me a little bit mad.

I'm sorry but i really didn't like this drama. It rubbed me the wrong way. Serious issues seem to have been glossed over, making the drama overly unrealistic. In the end it wasn't inspirational but annoying. FL seemed to want to solve everything with a smile, but was not firm enough with her subjects.

Do you think people/nation would still have treated him that way if he had admitted his wrong and apologised?. I feel like you cannot say "society" was bullying him when the society felt wronged because the kid never took responsibility or openly said sorry.

Until the end he even attacks his friends and the memorial of the dead kid because he felt wronged, but he is the aggressor/killer.

Great movie, leaves you a bit frustrated and asking yourself why?.

My only question is do japanese parents normally smoke with their 14 year old children?. Found that a bit weird.

She knew the truth, she just conveniently decided to ignore it. The father seemed to feel some remorse and was apologetic.

I wanted to feel sorry for Xiao Guang but honestly, redemption comes with taking responsibility for one's actions. Victim or not. Also not all victims become perpetrators, he at some point decided to become a ring leader of the rapist gang.Infact he extorted other students by having video evidence of them, so he can keep them silent.

Also the grandfather of the FL allows her to go back to school because another kid (ML) promises to take care of her. Is this a joke or what?.

Overall, performance is excellent.

Such an infuriating FL,a bit selfish.Her child was more empathetic than her. Such a timely beautiful story of how easily we misjudge each other without fully understanding the story. And how social media fuels misunderstandings.

Touching, moving and even a tear-jerker in some scenes but i think the FL was equally unwell/ emotionally unstable and needs help herself.

Beautiful cinematography, hut i got lost in some of the scenes. Couldn't tell if it was real or imagined by the brother and sister.

Really enjoyed this one, though it has a bit of low rating and it's old. But all the stories were meaningful.

Made me want to hug my mum a little tighter. ❤

I still can not tell what was real and what was not. But very artistic and gripping movie.My heart is torn either way.

But don't be like this guy (Daniel), if you are in love with an addict please help them seek professional help.Thats true love. Your love alone is not enough to heal them.

Is it mentioned in the movie why the daughter hated her mother so much. It just felt weird to me even for a rebellious teenager. It wasn't clear why some of her behaviour was strongly against her mother.
