This was an engaging story, besides the mature content. It really caught me by surprise, with the amount of issues they were touching on.

Unfortunately, i really didn't feel this movie. Biggest dislike was the elder sister's martyr & saviour complex. Found her behaviour irritating.

Something is just missing in the story to make it more memorable. Maybe more character development was needed. The bond between the sisters didn't feel or look that strong to me.

But the cinematography is beautiful, would love to visit this part of Japan. It's breathtakingly beautiful.

Not always a fan of these Adapted from a Manga, short series. They can be so cliche. Super-cute though, bubble-gum drama, forgettable.
The FL & her puppy-dog eyes kept me watching. She is adorable.

Honestly, not a bad movie but pointless in the end because you are left scratching your head(at least i did because there were a few things that left me baffled). I would have loved a more clearer, ending.

I feel like it had great potential to be a great movie, but destroyed but not so funny jokes and characters playing dumb in obvious situations.

Title What a Man Wants Spoiler
The cast was great, but I really did not like the concept of the movie especially since in the end Song JiHyo…
she also cheated on her hubby so she was also busy hiding her mistake.she is even the first to cheat and was going to be black-mailed by her ex-lover. Basically everyone cheats
She also suspected it & may be like her sister in law she just let it go. The wives always know but pretend not to know.

I agree. Were they trying to blame her because she was female. The father did the nothing but belittle his daughter…
I agree, i remember feeling sad after watching this because i felt like there really was no lesson just blame. Blaming her for wanting to be loved and acknowledged by her father. They expected too much from her as well, while her brothers did no wrong. My heart broke thinking of all the women who have to live under the glare of the society.

Nina was the cutest thing in this drama. There were a few description of black being ugly and other racist references. Made me wonder if the kid would be okay, growing up around people like that. Grandma eventually came around.

Should have watched this sooner.Beautiful movie, full of all symbolism about family, mother-role and mother,-figures,nature vs nurture. Just didn't like the ending, broke my heart. but i guess that's why i like Japanese movies. The good ones always leave me a little bit mad.

I'm sorry but i really didn't like this drama. It rubbed me the wrong way. Serious issues seem to have been glossed over, making the drama overly unrealistic. In the end it wasn't inspirational but annoying. FL seemed to want to solve everything with a smile, but was not firm enough with her subjects.

Great movie, leaves you a bit frustrated and asking yourself why?.My only question is do japanese parents normally…
Do you think people/nation would still have treated him that way if he had admitted his wrong and apologised?. I feel like you cannot say "society" was bullying him when the society felt wronged because the kid never took responsibility or openly said sorry.

Until the end he even attacks his friends and the memorial of the dead kid because he felt wronged, but he is the aggressor/killer.

Great movie, leaves you a bit frustrated and asking yourself why?.

My only question is do japanese parents normally smoke with their 14 year old children?. Found that a bit weird.

Yeah not sure what I think about this after first watch, though I doubt I'll come back for a second because it's…
She knew the truth, she just conveniently decided to ignore it. The father seemed to feel some remorse and was apologetic.

I wanted to feel sorry for Xiao Guang but honestly, redemption comes with taking responsibility for one's actions. Victim or not. Also not all victims become perpetrators, he at some point decided to become a ring leader of the rapist gang.Infact he extorted other students by having video evidence of them, so he can keep them silent.

Also the grandfather of the FL allows her to go back to school because another kid (ML) promises to take care of her. Is this a joke or what?.

Overall, performance is excellent.
