Well, here we go, I am dropping this at the very last episode because I ended up hating FL and I really don't want to watch her getting ML. How on earth can you treat someone you LOVE the way she did?! Yikes!
I dropped this when ML told one of female characters that it was her fault why her matrilocal husband cheated on her, plundered her home (driving her father into death) and elope with his mistress, leaving her penniless and all alone. It was "her problem", according to ML (and no1 objected) because she didn't look "ravishingly beautiful and charming" like mistress did. Well, her husband knew before the marriage what did she look like (big, tall, strong) and we saw she treated him like a King. But, hey, it's victim's fault. Who writes, directs and produces garbage like this?!
Maybe this will be the next drama to be filmed. A xianxia: Xiao Hun Dianhttps://kisskh.at/697567-xiao-hun-dian
Fingers crossed that the melon about how this is his last drama for H&R is true. I hope he can leave that **** agency and find much better place for himself.
I am still confuse as how Guilinazha is the female lead while playing his sister. From the bts it seems the girl…
To me, this looks like CY's agency is using Gulinazha's name to attract some audience, while they are promoting their actress Liu Meng Rui. She went to Hello Saturday with 3 leads to promote MLC, even her role was small and insignificant in the drama.
There's more to being strong than just having the strongest power. Even when she is at her weakest, she still…
First 15 episodes could be written in 3 or 4 episodes, and that would be more than enough to introduce us to characters and to the world. Some dramas would have it done through narrator. They just didn't have enough material for 15-16 episodes. As for "being strong", I actually agree with your point, BUT... my problem is that it is always FL in these dramas that is "strong" in that way, while ML is the one who always hold the true strength and real power, so I am sick of FL always being in inferior position. Tag "strong FL" was pure clickbait for me. Love... Your definition of love and mine might not be the same, and that is ok. Sneaking behind my backs, lying to me, hurting me and humiliating me in front of my enemies is not how I see love. Sacrificing for me, without me ageing with it, isn't also what I would chose. Sharing burden and making decisions together is my liking. Maybe FL in this drama would love to sacrifice herself for him, maybe she would love that they go together in that Chaos thing and die together (I would chose this)? FL didn't have a chance to decide anything because he decided everything for her. You maybe like this sort of dynamic in relationship, I really don't. I like when we decide and do things together. So, I wanna puke every time this trope comes up. I guess, different strokes for different blokes. Thank you for your answer and have a nice day. ❤️❤️
This was a terrible snooze fest until second arc started and Qing Mu "appeared". During Qing Mu's time I thought drama was delightful and fun, and it was... until Bai Jue "came back". At that point it turned into typical I-am-hurting-you-for-your-own-good-because-I-love-you garbage.
Tag "strong FL" should be removed. She is strong only in theory, while she spends almost 95% of drama as the weakest of them all. Though, she is not a damsel in distress, thanks God for that.
I started to watch this drama because of FL's "special abilities" to hear lies, which she uses to help people. As someone who values truth and thinks debunking lies is important thing, I find the ending very unsatisfactory and disappointing.
Fair warning: this is a story about IT business world and ML's character growth from selfish, obnoxious, arrogant child-like man to responsible one. ML doesn't care about anyone but his IT company. There is no romance between the leads. FL likes ML from the start and she confesses to him several times during the show, but gets rejected every time. ML starts relationship with 2FL, because she "was there", she pushed it and it was convenient for him. He didn't love her and he didn't even care for her. So, only "romance" you will get is this one. And, it drags almost til the end. ML doesn't love FL ether. He just needs her, because, at one point, there was no1 left for him but her. Ten minutes before drama ends, ML and FL are still not a couple.
I agree. They did dirty to ML's character casting 45 yo actor to play 30 yo character. ML is combination of maturity…
True. I believe that 30 yo FSF, with his mature look, would be perfect for this role. But, 45 yo is big no. Sometimes I really don't understand how they do casting in Chinese Dramaland.
The humor in this drama could come from hidden identities, switched identities and all sort of funny and light misunderstandings caused by identities mix ups. You need to be smart to write a drama like that. But, it isn't the case with this drama because not so smart writers chose to make FL as stupid as possible and then let everyone treat her like crap, gaslight her and have zero care for her feelings and well-being. Her parents are terrible and her twin sister is real selfish piece of s**t. ML plays all sort of games to gaslight her, he will do anything for her and to her, except to be honest and kind. FL does not have one single person who treats her with respect. Watching someone gets mistreat all the time is maybe good comedy to some people, but not for me. Dropped at ep. 9.
Even for people who like age gaps, this is just too much. He literally looks like a grandpa here and he is a sickly…
I agree. They did dirty to ML's character casting 45 yo actor to play 30 yo character. ML is combination of maturity (with huge responsibility on his shoulders) and physical strength, but physically weak due to a poisoning. And doing justice to such a character should be no problem to any decent actor. (No shade on FSF who is a good actor, just too old for this role.) + dubbing and that awful dead voice didn't do anything good for a character.

Flashbacks on repeat!
Finger on FF button.
