Original is a GEM, one of the best drama of all time & yep being kdrama fans with 200-300++ titles, if I had to choose 1 drama I'd recommend, that would be Someday or One Day, a Taiwanese drama, I never watch Taiwanese or Chinese drama before watching SOOD, only watch Koreans) but discovering SOOD is like a slap to my face, how Taiwanese can create a beautifully told, mindblowing drama like that, SUPERIOR than what Koreans ever did/I've ever watched.
I'm actually surprised to find many who have done watching the original seem yet to watch their final, extra scene after completing ep 13, so incase you haven't watched it, you can watch them here https://youtu.be/tZYiqicuH7s?si=2cFhs3Fa6Zk7vHY1
If you haven't watch any of them between original and remake then I will suggest you to watch the original one…
But then the surprised moment of knowing the actual plot will be gone & they hv lost their opportunity to fully enjoy the drama at their maximum potential (w/ tremendous acting, feelings, nostalgic songs & plot all were delivered well on the original), so imo better Original first, then the remake
It took me 3 attempt to complete ep 1 of the original & nearly dropped it at ep 2 but I forced myself to continue…
Haha idk I'd definitely went for the original coz all the feelings, acting, plot & even nostalgic songs all were delivered really well on the original, making it a whole different experience I truly cherish & can't forget. I usually prefer korean drama over chinese or taiwanese but for this one I'll def go w/ the original coz it's a really well made & hard to beat.
or they could just be fans of the original drama, nothing to do with Taiwan
2nd that, I consider myself Kdrama Fans, like more than 2/3 drama titles I watched all are Koreans & I only hv like idk 2 Taiwanese drama title on my list but SOOD just hits different & hold a very special place in my heart, my all time fav & a very memorable drama where the leads history feels like my own journey, from their experience to their nostalgic songs.
As a person who have tried to watch the original like 2-3 times but don't know why every time I was asleep in…
It took me 3 attempt to complete ep 1 of the original & nearly dropped it at ep 2 but I forced myself to continue coz I wanna know what's ppl been raving about & that's the best decision I hv ever made coz damn they're just amazing & a very memorable, mind blowing drama for me, I'll give a 1000/10 rating if I could.
Ppl who dropped the original at ep 2 or 3 don't know what they've just missed coz the story hasn't even started yet/ they don't know what is it all about. After completing all 13th ep + extra scene of the original I've even went back rewatching ep 1 immediately & boy it hits all different coz now you know what it's all about, it's just that good!
I want to ask for a spoiler does the male lead’s brother really die? If so what episode? And does he come back…
He's shown as a flashback throughout the entire series, so eventhough it's sad & unfortunate to see him die unjustly so soon, at least we get to see our dear boy & how ppl around him hold him dearly after his death, remember all his kindness & find justice for him, tho it's rather too late 🥲
One of those few drama where the second half is better than the first, like I really had to forced myself watching the first half series but keep looking forward to watch the 2nd half. Good closure & quite unordinary to hv better writing & interesting supporting characters in the 2nd half, like Park Ki Young.
Am I the only one who find the FL's lil sis is rather irritatingly written? Like I know it's not her fault or something but they always placed her multiple times in the wrong place at the wrong time as an unnecessary obstacle, putting her nose into problem that's not hers, like once is ok but every single time is 💀
Like, ain't she a supporting character to begin with? So I really don't get why she had to be shown present in every single case 😑
Am I the only one that wants him to be guilty? I think it would be so cool if for once, they do the least expected…
Maybe if it's a suspense thriller but not in romcom, I surely wouldn't want to sacrifice character development & consistency in writing over an uncalled plot twist that's coming out of nowhere, that would seem silly/ridiculous
"I just feel like every character just do their part and not an actual character, they move because the plot needs…
Oh please, MLL sweep record as Top #1 rating in 127 countries out of 137 countries, they're doing well & remarkable internationally whether you like it or hope they would not, lol
It looks like some people are ignoring Doha's traumatic experiences and how it affected him. His mental health…
Agreed, it's rare to find a drama addressing mental health, self development & how one's trust can affect a person & this drama make it so well in writing of the character's & bonding of their mainleads & I truly adore that. Even to see how calm, gentle & kind Do Ha character I find it refreshing among loads of self centered, cold, arrogant MLs present in dramaland, I'll take Do Ha anyday!
I like to watch things first then judge. I guess you don’t. I haven’t seen this original, and it’s unavailable…
Lol, no need to get triggered, this is only my opinion, no one forbid you to enjoy the adaptation. And clearly you haven't seen the original yet so you don't know how complex, well written & difficult to make/ present their plot are w/ great acting, ppl who hv completed the original will understand why many ppl being skeptical w/ the adaptation.

& just so you know, they're holding #1 spot in my country from the moment they started airing till now, unmoving 🤓
