which one is better, this drama or moonlight drawn by clouds?
I'm older than 30 too, lol. Yes moonlovers has more adultery scenes while the scenes on moonlight is more youthful, but that doesn't mean moonlight is not mature just because it's youthful, being adult doesn't meant they're mature, mature is not determine by age. Thus, I don't think it's appropriate to classified a drama by its age, I respect your opinion but I need to clarify few things, cheers!
which one is better, this drama or moonlight drawn by clouds?
I need to disagree to whom saying Moonlight is for teenagers, Moonlight is a very heart warming drama & has more depth than it looks from the outside, they're mature & sincere at the sametime, you need to see it yourself to know. It's perhaps the most romantic sageuk I've ever seen & also the most well portrayed a character can be. If I'd like to differentiate between the two moon, moonlovers is more on the plot movement while moonlight is more on the characters movement, you can't help but love every characters in Moonlight.
I honestly don't know how to rate this, as I think 85% of this show was practically action scenes & running, lol. I love JCW & while he good at action I hope they"ll give us more dialogue to see where the plot is heading to, since some of their action scene I found too fake (like when he was swinging to break the window & suddenly the window breaks into pieces only by that tiny crack when he doesn't even hit that hard?) & not smooth, unlike some action on other drama I've seen (cruel city, my beautiful bride, healer). As for Yoona, I don't see much progress on her acting like others may have pointed out (though maybe it's because she is practically only running, kkk) but so far I'm not impressed with her expression, yet. Hope she'll improve soon.
Another thing, is it only me who find the background music is kinda distracting/doesn't match with the scene as they seems imitated/sounded like a familiar melody only then changing the later notes?
I hope they're getting better, as I've waited long enough to see JCW on another drama after healer, please don't dissapoint me, show <3
this drama is being compared to moon lovers and i have to say it: moon lovers has better plot. here i keep losing…
Plot is nothing if the execution was bad since all the good things was left on the script, although I love LJK & KHN, Moon lovers editing & directing team was pretty much messed up & distracting & it kept me away from watching it. Moon lovers had an advantage to be a better drama since it was based on a famous chinese novel (means better source/plot to developed & fanbased of the novel) but the editing & directing ruined it all since they're focusing more on fans service & advertising rather than characters & editing.
You may seen below link to see what might happened if Moonlovers had a better editing team & maybe a change on female lead (sadly, even fans had a better editing skill) https://youtu.be/Tf1u2fTSODc
All in all, my point is, a better plot doesn't equal means a better drama, a good team works = well suited cast/good casting director, actor's great acting, good directing, writing, editing skill, camera works, background music director & all staffs was the one who determine whether a drama is great, & imo, Moonlight has it all.
i know this is based on a web drama but there are many kdramas that kinda have the same plot as this one. Still…
Woahh, if I remember correctly I think they already had 500++ pages to go through, more likely it will take forever if you're backreading the pages one by one (゜▽゜;),
might be better to ask for it to save your time? Kkkk *just a suggestion though** ^^"
I just watched only the 1st episode of this drama, but it relieved all the stress I got from watching Moon Lovers…
Kinda agree on IU's acting, am not trying to bashed her or anything, I adore her as a singer, love her song & voice, but I just don't think she is ready for SH since she is not only the main lead there but she is the central of the story, its story is not about the prince, it's about her & I think her acting skill is not quite there yet. I don't blame her for taking the role though, am questioning more on the casting director. As for W, I was obssessed about it before but I couldn't finished their last episodes yet since it's becoming too stressful for me & moonlight is kinda like my escape route which I've truly adore & very much love now. Am so sorry for the rant >.<"
Am really trying to watch this for the sake of Jo jung suk & Go Kyung Pyo that I like, but that shaky video shooting, fast motion thingy is just too nauseous, they've thrown me off at their first few episodes for that reason & now when I tried to watch ep 9 to know where is this going, the same thing happens again, why show whyy?? Is it only me who's feeling this way? (╥_╥)
Just seen the first ep, maybe it's too early to tell but I like the first episode, so far it's quite interesting & the pace is good, love to see how their life entangled at each other & have that kind of bond to developed. it's kinda surprised me as I found it's more interesting than I thought it would be from only seeing the trailer, I'll look forward to the next episode

It's only translated in chinese & no english translation so far, but if you're curious about it you could try to take a look at moonlight thread on soompi, some people discussed it & even make a summary for each books, but the thread is moving so fast since it's very active so maybe it was buried under those pages X'D. But you could ask for it anytime there, I believe they'll repost it for you ^^

Moonlight is not the only drama who had that kind of similiar plot, after watching many kdrama, I found many kdrama were similiar at eachother & not only the gender bender thingy, ie:Typical bad boy male lead, birth secret, rich boy poor girl, post traumatic experience, vengeance, friendzone 2nd lead male, mommy daddy issue, etc, which kdrama doesn't have that kind of thing? If I'd like to named it, maybe it's W, OHY, beautiful mind & signal. Is it good? Yes! But does that mean the other cliche/similiar kdrama bad? Definitely Not!
We can't expect them to have a different plot every time, can't we?
What matters is the execution & how to make a drama that's enjoyable & meaningful to watch, which imo moonlight had delivered it very well ;)
that moment when you want the negative comment to be on the nxt page already. lol. really it ruins the mood!!!!…
LOL, I feel you chingu (*>.<*), can I have one bogummy for me too? I mean, his real life personality is just sooo adorable, the one whom everyone want to cherish, but when he acted, gahhh... This noona can't help for not falling hard for you bogummy (=x v x=)"
