In the famous words of Jisoo, this drama was not bad but not good, the ending felt rushed, the whole husband arc went on for far too long imo, should've left more episodes to flesh out the ending, I ended up really liking the last guy even though he was only in it for like 3 episodes

I love the mellow nature of this drama, the ending scene of ep 14 broke my heart. The people at the academy just waiting like piranhas for the FL to fall are horrible ppl and I hope karma gets them, especially that guy that liked her, just because she likes someone else you're going to spread rumors that aren't even true? Ugh

Episode 10 was a bit confusing but I'll break down what I got from it. The FL was frustrated after Mr. Pyo came to talk to her because she blames herself for pushing Mr. Pyo to being an academy teacher. She saw in Mr. Pyo what she wanted to be, a teacher with values who genuinely enjoys teaching students. Instead she sees herself as a parasite who isn't really teaching students but instead trying to gain more money and influence (she has somewhat of an inferiority complex). She admits that when she went to confront Mr. Pyo at the school it wasn't because she cared for the student's grades or wanted them to get a better education, she simply saw it as an opportunity to gain more fame, attract more students and earn more money. She went to the gray witch to fight because she thought the gray witch was preying on Mr. Pyo in his moment of weakness since he had suffered humiliation and was offering him a way to get revenge on the FL. But she eventually realized that she was in the wrong and it was her actions that caused Mr. Pyo to be humiliated and want to quit in the first place. This is why the gray witch laughs and says "you act like a scoundrel in the moment and once its done you want to talk ethics" basically calling the FL a hypocrite and telling her that she was one who played the main role in Mr. Pyo departure from the school so she has no right to criticize the gray witch. Honestly, I love this FL, she isn't perfect and has many flaws a normal person would, it makes her more real and relatable.

The whole issue between the ML and FL had to do with the ML having one foot in the "Seo Hye Jin is my gf" camp and one foot in the "Seo Hye Jin is my teacher" camp. He needed to understand that the FL isn't his teacher anymore, she is his gf, he cant have both because a teacher and a gf have two totally different relationship dynamics but he wanted to keep both. He still saw the FL as his teacher who was perfect in his eyes instead of seeing the FL who is his gf and has flaws. So when he told the FL "we will fight him together" he wasn't understanding the FL didn't want to fight Mr. Pyo, she realized what she did to him was wrong. This was an issue that was present since the beginning too, like when she kicked him off the bed because he called her "teacher," he doesn't seem to understand she isn't your teacher, she is your gf

Honestly I wished Kang Ha wouldve come in and destroyed everyone instead of unnecessarily getting mixed up in a romance, I wanted him to get revenge for his brother

Also none of the bullies even got punished in the end, everyone went on with their lives as if nothing ever happened. Also why did this drama try and make us sympathetic to the abusers?? None of them even felt sorry for what they did and the abuse they put the "scholarship kids" through. Ri An only apologized bc the FL made him apologize, he is literally a classist and elitist who thinks people who have less money are worth less than him. The beginning had potential, I wished Kang Ha would've gone savage mode and brought them all down but in the end everyone just got a little slap on the wrist

I am sorry but this has got to be one of the worst shows I have ever seen. It is so flat, no emotion at all, the only character I even care for was Kang Ha (lowkey I hated how weak he became by the end though, like bro they literally abused your brother, if anyone touches my brothers they are gonna find themselves in a ditch). I ended up putting it in 1.5x speed and skipping many of the scenes because it was just so damn boring, the writing was terrible, like none of the characters had any emotion at all except for the ML. If you want a bullying revenge drama, please check out weak hero class 1, it is phenomenal

This show is fun, if you go into it thinking it will be a serious drama then you'll be disappointed, but it is a really funny comedic show

Midnight romance is lowkey good tho especially after episode 8 😭
