I'm rooting for the secondary couples of jixing's friends lili and and that influencer friend of her. Their opposites are a good match for them just like hanting and jixing ^^

They're two different dramas and no need to put bce down and call it rubbish just because you don't like it. It's a family drama, very different from as beautiful as you, if you want a comparison pick a different drama that have some similarities to this drama.
That friend of jixing that like her ex, she spent new year eve with her friend's ex, but didn't have the courage to come clean to her friends but have to keep their meeting a secret because even she knew what she did was wrong. If she has a clear conscience then it shouldn't be too hard to let her friend know about her feeling instead of hiding it.

Are we watching the same drama. The main leads on the screen for the whole drama even when they don't interact they each have lots of screentimes. This is the type of drama that i like the main leads share screentimes even when they don't interact with each other, and support characters don't hog their screentimes. This is an office romance drama and the direction/script/story are all online. Don't push your agenda of blaming xukai for picking bad script since you're the only one complained while everyone else all have positive things to say about this drama. Xukai pick good scripts it just you don't know how to appreciate good dramas and don't push your opinion onto those who don't share the same opinion.
That was really sweet, hanting leaving his family new year eve party to go looking for jixing after being asked by her mother. I love the scene with their cat, ĥanting is a cat lover, jixing has a secret weapon wirh that cat, hanting even gave her a card to pay for the cat care that's too cute ^^

That was a very good assessments of that scene, i was thinking to myself the light and shadow really made the scene even more intense, the director and both xukai and seven tan did a great job in setting up that scene putting us in that moment ^^
Zd took hanting to that restaurant to listen in on that conversation jixing has with that company that she purchase her 3d printer i don't think it was a coincidence that the company was asking a favor after finding out about her ties to hanting. It was kind of weird that someone from that company was calling zd to inform her about jixing wanting to use hanting's name, so that company asking for a favor was probably a set up by zd to paint jix̌ing in a bad light to hanting. Hanting didn't fall for it and knew exactly what she was doing.
That conversation hanting has with jixing what he said to her is something she really needs to hear aɓout the consequence of taking a shortcut, both xukai and seven tan really bring out their characters in that moment. Hanting was really ìntimidating to the point that it made jixing cry because of what he said she realizes that she was in the wrong, and hanting shows his care for her to even warn her about it. Zd is jealous of hanting's care for jixing as later on she tried to blame jixing for hanting leaving the new year eve dinner to his family. That last scene when she saw that painting that hanting gave to jixing made her realizes jixing's importance to hanting. I wonder what she will do now that jixing has move her office back and ìs on equal footing.

All those other men were awful and they didn't hide it, prince zhou on the other hand is presented in a good light even though he also uses his position to force fl to do things she didn't want to do, just because he didn't force her into his bed doesn't make him any better.

It's ok everyone has different taste. I find the dramas xukai pick always have strong fls and that's my one requirement when picking dramas to watch. I also like arsenal military academy for that reason. I like dramas for plot and characters and don't mind if there're no romance or little romance as i notice people on mdl judge dramas on romance over the quality of the dramas. That's too bad because they missed out on some good dramas. Chinese dramas do suffer from bad editing or havng nonsensical ending though not just xukai's dramas but in general probably due to censorship.
It was funny that meeting between jixing's partner and hanting. Hanting didn't have to say anything to get him to confess everything to him, he can be intimidating even without trying, and jixing lied about being sick because she skipped their meeting ^^
I'm glad to see that i also like the secondary couples. They're not just distraction and they're also very likable beside the friend that has a crush on her friend's ex. I kind of feel bad for jixing's partner who is clearly head over hill for liĺi, too bad she's already taken.
I am putting a curse to all who scored this so low. I like the dynamics of the drama!
To combat the low rating just rate all the eps you watched, as this drama is plague with haters who purpose is to bring down the rating; if you check in the ep guide they even rate those eps that have not air.

I find the mother entertaining, so didn't have a problem with her character. I like how honest she's and not two face like that mother and sister of the fl's ex. I can tolerate her better than them.

Those people who complained about the mother came into this drama with the wrong expectation, as this drama is about family and the mother and daughter conflicts, and not focus only on the main leads romance. I'm surprised this drama got such a low rating on mdl, even lower than only for love as that drama was criticized for being bad while this drama broke 30,000 heat on the first week of airing.
