Di Troops were always under her command, she set her army ready before entering the capital as Ren Anle. She would remove Han Zhongyuan from the throne if the war of the three kingdoms did not start. Drama added LMX motivating or guiding her which is absolutely made up, she never needed any guidance, rather LMX was a passive advisor in the novel. And LMX was never in the war because of course Ziyuan left him to check and balance Han Zhongyuan in the capital & he had a sickly disposition. Di Ziyuan's dream & aim was justice & prosperity of Dajing, which would only be possible if Han Zhongyuan were to be removed from the throne.
How was Mo Bei in the novel? Was there a subtle loveline with AN in the book too?
He does not exist in the novel. A made up shitty character. Anning's loveline in the novel is with Shi Zhengyan, a loyal general who works with her in the border and a best friend of Han Ye.
But my biggest regret will always be the fact that they did not show the era of Jingan Houjun/Marquis Di Ziyuan after she clears the name of the Di Clan & takes back her father's title. Drama really took away so much from the role of Di Ziyuan. Its a pity. And people find her flawless with that, idk what they'll become if they know how much of her was taken away lmao.
I really loved how they showed Jinyan's reveal in the drama, it was different from the novel but it was done beautifully. One of the most endearing things about ALZ is the found family relationship & dynamic between Han Ye & Wen Shuo and they gave it justice.

But Ren Anle/ Di Ziyuan is shown NOT as flawless character, nor is any character shown as flawless. And An Ning didn't die to show the legendary character of Di Ziyuan. Anning is a legend herself.
