What a fascinating show this is. The imagery, the iconography and allusions are fantastic. When the rule of law breaks down there's a kind of creeping barbarism that emerges from the dust which hides behind a veneer of respectability. The big screen of propaganda opposite of Yohan's office reminds me of Father from the Tetragrammaton Council from Equilibrium. When Sun-ah is hailed as the new chair of SFR... that entire sequence gave me fascist-nazi party heebie jeebies.

He could be lying. He might not be. So either way, it's all speculative at this point. It might not be an accident but it doesn't mean that it had to be Yo-han who started it. And even if he did start the fire, it doesn't follow that he intended for anyone to die in it. He may just wanted Isaac to not give away the family fortune. The point is that more lives could have been saved if they had evacuated properly. Besides he has been raising Elijah with a great deal of care, more than he needs to.
My conclusions after 8 episodes 1. Yo Han killed his brother. He began to feel guilty after Isaac's death. 2.…
It's very unlikely. There's no reason for Yo-han to kill Isaac. The fire was most likely an accident. It wouldn't surprise me if Elijah is the one who started it. But who started it isn't the point. If everyone had evacuated properly without pushing and shoving the others, everyone could have got out in time.
I just started this show and I already dislike the FL...Lin Dong is super duper rude and nasty attitude with a…
I didn't like Ling Dang much at the start either but things do get better between them after Episode 8. The cohabitation aspect is really just for the romance. Nothing about it makes sense otherwise.
Once the leads stop the ridiculous obligatory bickering, it's a decent enough police procedural. Not great but watchable. Zhang Yujian is a fine actor and he plays up Qin Ming's eccentricities quite well. The low production values certainly don't help.
Maybe it's just me but I don't find this season boring at all. In fact, I'm enjoying every episode. Glad to have Lee Kyu-hyung a part of the franchise.
I don't object to the romance per se. I just object to how badly it's incorporated. The leads are good actors and they have decent chemistry but all the attempt to produce push and pull just don't make a whole lot of sense. Still the cases are decent enough to make the whole thing watchable and the show gets less bad as it progresses.
Ugh... not impressed so far. Mango didn't exactly throw money at this did they? Not exactly enjoying the slapstick here. The inclusion of the rom com tropes feel so clumsy and unnecessary.
A mostly entertaining lightweight drama that borrows from Beauty and the Beast but tries too hard to sidestep the darkly fantastical aspects of the original . It's one of those dramas where the secondary pairing does a lot of the heavy lifting in the final act while the primary one flounders around waiting for the resolution. If nothing else it's a reminder that Kang Ha-na is one of the best K actresses of her generation.
I say bring on more WinterGarden aegyo. We need it, the show needs it. It's a delightful antidote to all the angst happening elsewhere. Besides happy Jeong-won means happy patients and plenty of initiatives for Daddy-Long-Legs and beyond.
Pls why are people not liking wintergarden? I'm living for wintergarden. I'm emotionally dependant on them now.…
Don't let the detractors get to you. Everyone has their preferences and honestly those of us who have rooted for them since last season should revel in all their scenes together because it's the payoff.
Am I the only one who didn't have any confusion from the start? the legal terms were a little hard to follow at…
I didn't have problems either. I was fine with the legalese having watched legal dramas in the past but the pacing was what had me reeling at first. I know there are people who would disagree but I personally thought the show got better as it progressed.
I enjoyed the humour in Episode 13. It's a much needed injection after all the angst of the previous episodes. Hye-ri was great at showing all the likeable aspects of Lee Dam. And of course Jae-jin and Hye Sun are downright adorable. In general Hye-sun is great with everyone.
It's good. Much more like S1. The first couple of episodes are a bit wobbly because they're trying to cover a fair bit of ground and set things up. There's also another serial killer arc like all the others. But it really starts to hit its stride at around Episode 4. They seem to be doing a lot better with the procedural side of things too. I like the island backdrop and Song Seung-ho as Derek Cho, the new male lead, is a credible addition to the team. They do a bit of a recap of S2 and 3 at the start so you don't need to have seen them but there are big spoilers.
Hope our Jeonnam Boys win!
That's exactly what I thought as well.
