Yeah I laughed in a an uncomfrotable way. They may have pushed it a bit too far.
It was probably somewhat mitigated by the fact that Shishan showed up in busybody fashion.

Watching Alen Fang alternating between a giddy schoolboy and a shameless flirt is fast becoming my daily dose of sunshine. I can't get enough of it.

I hope the Princess gets stronger and doesn't act like a cry baby throughout. She's so annoying in the inital…
She gets better.

Nice Avengers-style moments in the big battle.
"The most handsome man is always in the habit of being late". Yu Shishan: The quote generator. :D

the story is good from the start and later found boring due to a lot of characters. it should keep simple and…
I'm the opposite to you. I enjoy this one much more than the two you listed. Frankly I don't think it's that complex or hard to follow. So far it's fairly straightforward.

Now and again it's like watching the A-Team.
Ancient drones, GPS tracking using butterflies. It's all fun and games. And I'm here for all of it.
The first three episodes have possibly some of the best character introductions and set-ups I've seen in quite awhile. It's efficient, economical and even humorous. I'm particularly impressed with introduction of the main Liudao Tang team and their individual reactions to seeing Ning Yuanzhou after a time. You just know that you're among old friends/camarades.

Liu Shishi played a somewhat similar role in Vigilantes in Masks. But this character is older and more world weary. Definitely far more ruthless.

People drop like flies in this show. :D I've lost count of the bodies in just 3 episodes.
Both the leads are very cool. I like it already.

Title Scent of Time Spoiler
A second chance story with a Life on Mars reveal is not inherently bad but the problem is that all the investment…
The original Life on Mars is a famous BBC television series about a detective who after being left for dead in an altercation with a criminal seemingly goes back in time to his childhood in the 1970s. He's a detective in that period dealing with all kinds of policing issues and trying to solve crimes without all the modern advances and technology. He relives his childhood as an adult. He doesn't know what's going on half the time. Why he's in 1970? At times he thinks he's going mad. The title is based on a song by David Bowie. There's been several adaptation of it. The Korean one set in the late 1980s is really good. As good as the original. Haven't seen the others.

This is probably still my favourite C drama of the year thanks to the mesmerizing Xiang Liu. And on hindsight probably the best reverse harem since Love Like the Galaxy.

Can't wait to see Tan Jianci in Love Me Love My Voice, Under the Skin 2 and Part 2 of Lost You Forever.

Watching this drama was really hard for me. I suffered a lot of pain and my heart ached so much for my poor Xiang…
It shows that the showrunners have the courage to follow the source material faithfully. A reverse harem is generally polarising.

Great review!Just finished this series today. It was a fun series despite the flaws. Personally, I didn't like…
Thanks for commenting. I don't usually read the novels or manhuas before or after but I know often disgruntled watchers do.

The concept is good but this feels like a first or second draft script being hurried out for production. A lot more thought needed to be given to this. The police procedural side of things is very silly, trying to create obligatory conflict where none need exist. The lack of professionalism is cringe and them trying to make the male lead some kind of maverick just falls flat. The writing of the relationship between the leads is very clunky. He runs off stupidly and recklessly. She's there to hold him back and explain to him things so the audience gets some exposition and she can earn her keep.
