Tbf Ha Ram is the same. He hasn't trusted her with all his revenge plots and schemes, why should she trust him…
Yea I totally agree with the dealing with problems on their own part! Given all the things they have gone through in their lives, it does make sense why they are that way. And whatever’s happening in their lives now are even more chaotic! I still love this drama a lot and have a soft spot for it but it had the potential to be an EPIC! The scriptwriter let it down a bit. I mean technically they are trying to consolidate a storyline written over 2 volumes of the novel into 16 episodes so it’s bound to suffer a little bit if the scriptwriter isn’t that experienced!

I love that you have this in caps! I think people should not drop it by just reading the comments - this drama is definitely worth a shot. I’m planning to binge watch it again once it’s finished! And omg the OSTs are phenomenal! I have them on my playlist!

I don’t think Haram not telling her had anything to do with him not trusting her. There’s a lot going on with the revenge plot and it’s been in the works for a long long time. In normal circumstances he probably would have told her eventually but this whole MaWang thing started happening soon after they started seeing each other. And I’m not bashing Chungi here her actions are understandable, I’ve rewatched the scenes and I do empathize wth her. I just wish the writers showed better communication between them as in they could have come up with a plan together the 2nd time around.

Yes I agree! It is definitely worth watching, it’s not perfect but it still has its charm!

Hahaha, the way evil prince went crazy about the ring during the sealing ceremony. I laughed more than I should.…
Yes I wish Chungi and Haram communicated better, throughout the series their communication wasn’t too bad so I expected it to be a lot better in this episode. I have a feeling they will just put the revenge thing in the back burner and Chungi will never know :/ also I felt bad about the bodyguard dying but not as sad as I think I should have and that’s mainly because as you pointed out not much depth or back story shown. The jealous girl too, they could have easily shown her being more into Haram in the earlier episodes, literally would have taken them a couple of minutes here and there!

Title Lovers of the Red Sky Spoiler
I’ve been a big supporter of the HaHong couple but my main gripe with ep14 is Chungi just didn’t seem to trust Haram at all. I understand it was her father the first time around and she felt desperate but after everything went downhill, the 2nd time around when her friends are in trouble, she still decided to go. Haram begged her to stay and trust him. If she actually showed restraint, then it would have solidified their relationship a bit more. The communication piece between the two could have been done a lot better in this episode.

Maybe the drama stuff you find boring is what makes things more interesting for other viewers? I'm often bewildered…
Yea everyone has their own preferences. To me, it’s not a particular type or genre that is boring or exciting, it’s more of if the storyline is intriguing and/or the characters can make an impression on me. There are shows that I thought wasn’t really my taste but I once I watched it I really liked it and there are shows that I really loved but mayhave forwarded parts of the side plots or scenes with characters that I didn’t really care much about. In my opinion LOTRS has a great storyline and to be honest had so much potential to be a near perfect drama but obviously it isn’t close to perfect in any way due to the scriptwriters but for some reason so far it’s still keeping me interested. I don’t mind the slow episodes because too many intense episodes sometimes can be too much but I do think it required more episodes to end the show well. We’ll just have to wait and see I guess. There is definitely a lot to critic about for example the overuse of flashbacks etc but the overall vibe of the show really intrigues me!

For me up to episode 6 was really amazing and I love art so I was quite drawn to the art contest etc. I do think ep 7 to 10, the writers could have potentially injected more information. And as you pointed out we don’t know much about the guy helping Haram. I would have loved to see a lot more about the revenge plot. I still really like it and I really hope they can tie everything well by the end of it.

Yea unfortunately they haven’t even shown a whole lot of the 2nd prince and his POV. And it is just my assumption about the whole ring situation. I really think they should have had more episodes so that they could have properly fleshed out all the million details. I try not to nitpick though cuz I love the overall vibe of the show.

So many random scenes, i mean for ex, when Ha Ram told his plans about handing over Ma Wang to the 2nd prince…
I’m assuming the previous king had the divine ring on him from the very beginning which helped him control Ma Wang as mentioned in this episode so I’m guessing that also prevented them becoming one? Also Haram has had Ma Wang inside him for 19 years not sure how long the king had him.

It bewilders me when people say this drama is boring. I mean to each their own I guess, I’m usually very impatient and would fast forward boring stuff but not once have I done that for this drama. I do think though, it would be a better watch if watched all together instead of week by week.
