On Can This Love Be Translated? Jan 29, 2026
Finally! A romantic drama that's not a formulaic trope-filled cliche! Creative risks were taken here and I love that because it made me slow down and think..

I understand that this might be confusing for some because there are so many threads, but I was never confused because I'm always excited when film makers break away from the norm and take risks, so this had me riveted. I was giggling so much in those early episodes from the cute interactions with Cha Muhee and HoJin.

And her alter ego Do Rami was a fun trouble maker too.

The parents drama at the end was unnecessary and added nothing to the story, though. They could have used that time to give us some cute moments with the leading couple.
On Dynamite Kiss Jan 4, 2026
Romantic K Dramas, particularly the Netflix produced ones, have been feeling very formulaic and contrived of late. Especially the endings. All the little things like the trip and fall and he catches her and they almost kiss etc feels so inorganic in these newer dramas. It's why I couldn't finish King The Land, because it felt like all these signature Kdrama moments were boxes to be ticked off. None of it felt natural. And while Dyanmite Kiss is marginally better than KTL, it had some of the same sloppy inconsistencies that proves they are just ticking things off to follow a formula rather than being authentic.

Ex. In KTL, the male lead, when given onions to peel, completely butchered them. Didn't even know how to hold a knife properly. But an episode later he was suddenly a culinary prowess as he cooked for the FML on their first date. Same in DK - male lead butchered peeling fruits on the picnic, but then he was suddenly a culinary prowess cooking for the FML.

There are a ton of little things that had me rolling my eyes, because when the characters have no chemistry and you force these contrived moments, it's takes away from the magic of what makes K Dramas work.

Bring back originality, authencity, chemistry, and believable/relatable endings!
On Crash Course in Romance Dec 5, 2025
I enjoyed the mystery/suspense part of this.
Along with the school kids.
The romance was dry and main characters had zero chemistry. I honestly could watch a show with just the kids alone. They were more interesting. Although Lee Chae Min's acting was very bland in this. I've seen him in others series and know he's good actor.

The mystery/suspense plot was the thing that had me HOOKED and I found I kept trying to find time to get back to watching it. But then they wrapped it up quite hastily with a neat little bow and never talked about it again. And what the the hell happened to the first school girl that was attacked? No body was found and there was nothing about her going missing?

Hae-e also never spoke about what happened to her or even got therapy after all that?
This is around where it started losing stars for me.

But overall a good watch. Worth the time.

Those two boys chasing Hae I have more chemistry with each other 😂😂
😂 True!

For a drama that received so many rave reviews and has such a high rating, I expected too much. The key elements…
This! I was suprised by how underwhelming it actually is. I really expected more.

"Celebrity" was so much better IMO
On Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo Nov 9, 2025
Currently watching but I'm contemplating dropping it because I'm getting increasingly uncomfortable with abuse toward Bok-joo from her coach and father. I don't understand how they're allowed to have such extreme control over her for losing weight? What am I missing? Is she on scholarship? Is she being paid to be on the team? Because if she is just a college student weightlifting to benefit the school, how is the coach threatening her with violence and beating her with a broomstick acceptable? It's uncomfortable and infuriating. Is this culture thing that I'm not understanding?
The romance was much better in this one and I really enjoyed that. But I was disappointed that we never got to see Naksu pick up her own sword and be a badass. I kept waiting for an awesome scene with her fighting but it never came. Even more disappointed when in the end she just chose not to train and just let Uk do all the fighting.
Mudok would never!

Once you get used to the choppy, jumbled, time-jumpy format, it becomes easier to follow and more enjoyable. It was a really fun watch. I just accepted it for the hot mess that it was.

The last page got torn and fell from the main Magunrok and it granted his dying wish and transported him to reunite…
I think the fact that you are having to explain this to everyone in the comments, and sending us external material, is evidence enough that they did not do a good enough job with the last episode. Viewers should not be doing any extra labor after the show ends. The ending should have been clear enough to inform/satisfy viewers.

"How did the king get to my time, you ask? That does not matter. What matters is that he found me."

Um, no. It DOES matter, and refusing to give us an explanation is sheer laziness. I was fully prepared to rate this 10 stars. But lazy, insulting ending knocked off two stars.

I'm predicting that the FL is gonna somehow pull the King to the future with her just as he's about to be killed.
Not if they presume him to be dead. He would still be recorded in history as dead. They already think she's a "gwinyeo" and will probably assume she took him to afterlife or something like that.
It will be interesting to see what they actually do with ending though!

I honestly don’t know what to expect, how are they gonna finish it in just 2 episodes… I hope I won’t be…

We need the Royal Physician and the Royal Cook in our time. Imagine, the medicine works in a minute! And the restore…
I laughed at how the kid was instantly healed 😂

Title Our Blues
Easiest 10-star rating I've ever given.

This drama is OUTSTANDING. Flawless. Perfection.

The realness, the emotions, the feels.

Our Blues captures LIFE in every sense, it all it's painful, imperfect glory.

Phenomenal.

I went into this with the lowest of expectations because of all the bad reviews. I thought, "Let me just watch one episode and see..."

Yeah, I couldn't stop watching.

Was this corny? Yep. Was it unrealistic as hell? Yep. Did I eat it up anyway? Yup. So addictive.

This was so much fun for me and I look forward to season 2!
On A Time Called You Jul 11, 2024
Enjoyed this for the most part, but it fell apart for me around episode 8 when the male characters were on the same timeline. At that point, I just gave up on trying to understand anything. I still watched to the end but I can't say I was satisfied with that ending either.
On Forecasting Love and Weather Apr 22, 2024
Was okay, but could have been wrapped up in 10 episodes. Was needlessly slow and dragged out. And there was zero chemistry between the main leads. The weather aspect was more interesting to me than the romance.

Oh boy here we go *rolling eye emoji*I always know when I see Studio Dragon that there's going to be some mess…
That's the part that got me. Like how was he able to just walk in and take over as her guardian, no questions asked. I understand we need to suspend belief for fiction, but come on. That was just ridiculous.

Everyone keeps calling this drama a "masterpiece", but for me watching this felt like a fever dream.

Whoever wrote this drama must have severe ADHD because this was all over the place.

Choppy, incohesive, confusing, super unrealistic, messy and meandering. Meh acting.

It's like I watched a different drama than everyone else.

Did I watch the whole thing? Yep. It was like a train wreck I couldn't look away from.
