It is similar to ToD with the whole 'sisters reborn swap husbands' story(one of my favourite tropes). I liked ToD and am enjoying this so far. Check it out it's pretty good so far for a mini.
I honestly can't believe she's 37/38, she doesn't look it at all. Si Jin was the first thing I saw her in and she looks so young for her age that I even thought the ML was older😅 Wow talk about aging like fine wine🩷
LOL I spent episodes 1 - 4 analyzing all their interactions too because at first I thought she was just trying…
Wait wasn't she queen for a short while after their dad died, then her husband the king(or was he still the crown prince) tried to abdicate and she lost it? Whether she was the one who actually killed him remains to be seen. But her queen dowager status is definitely not enough for her, since the current king is too young to rule and the regent has all the power atm. Bitter is an understatement😂

Ugh imo she'll never be content even if she had wed I-an. She seems like an insatiable character, always scheming how to get more...everything. Then again that was how she was brought up. Like the regent said, the pride of a family that's produced multiple queens, they sound like an overambitious lot.

Yeah the brothers' interaction on the crown prince's wedding day was very mysterious. What choice did his brother make that made I-an wash his hands of him? I sincerely hope it wasn't because of the queen mother. I don't like the idea of her being romantically linked with the regent or causing a rift between the brothers. Her character isn't fully fleshed out yet and that's fair since it's just the beginning. I don't like her rn though because she treats her son like a tool not a child and she's trying to alienate him from his uncle, the only adult we've seen so far who puts his well-being above anything else while still treating him like a child and the king. edit: I wanted to add that besides that, my beef with her started from the fire incident at the birthday banquet when she slapped I-an and accused him of trying to kill the king when he didn't even do anything. And only apologized because she was forced to.
just starting ep 3 - and I really can not make out the Queen Dowager's feelings for the Grand PrinceHateLoveLustJealousyall…
LOL I spent episodes 1 - 4 analyzing all their interactions too because at first I thought she was just trying to oust him as regent so that her son could shine more on his own as king. Then the hotel incident happened, her barging into his room>seeing him undressed>getting flustered at his state of undress>catching HuiJu in his room and the way she kept targeting Seong HuiJu after made me pause. She definitely feels more than just hate for him, which is so weird because that's her husband's younger brother, her son's uncle. Is she attracted to his power as regent, his face and body or the whole package? Idk but I'm excited to find out. This show is so good!
"You people are under spells" took me out🤣🤣🤣 but I low-key agree. I also like that your analysis is actual critique and not shade. Several points were made and I agree 💯 I ended up dropping the drama 13 episodes in and haven't found any incentive to pick it back up again. Even with all the eye candy (the casting agents, directors, and producers knew what they were doing).
I just finished Love You Seven Times. Because of the Happy Ending, I give it a solid 10/10
Thanks for this! I kept scrolling, hoping I'd see a comment letting me know if it has a HE or not. Off to go watch this while I wait for the new Fated Hearts episodes to release.
I ain’t want no memory wipe.... he keeps every nasty moment locked in — every loss, every stab... let that…
THIS but I don't mind the memories hitting him like a brick after a while and him having to remember and take in all that betrayal all at once, it's just as effective imo. Waiting patiently for his brutal return to Susha, hope they piss themselves😌
Wow, so she's just flat out evil and annoying in the novel. I'm happy they decided to change a lot of things in the drama then, hopefully Xiyang comes to her senses without betraying any more good guys.
