Remember, I said the male lead in a high or powerful position (that is usually NOT MILITARY) will have to either give up his position etc to be with her, and be a commoner/live in the country, or 2) he will have to give up the girl to keep his position or higher, and then 3) she will die (often self inflicted) or there will be a bad rift between them and bad relationship.
The Long Ballad completely goes with what I said! It is a great example! Ashile Sun gave up being the leader of his army AND the leadership of the people/tribes, and only became a her bodyguard! His adopted brother was the leader of the tribe/people! It is factually inaccurate to say otherwise, because his character is roughly based off of a real guy!
This is off topic, but poor Ashile Sun was almost always, brushed off by Chang ge and his advise and warnings were most of the time ignored as well!
There are lots of things that most people only subconsciously pick up. Chinese dramas and stars are huge Communist propaganda tools.
Communist theology is woven throughout most of their dramas. It is sometimes more blatant propaganda in some dramas than others. It depends on what they are focusing on; anti-Christianity/religion, anti-American dream/Capitalism etc...
Oh, sexual intimacy or kiss scenes isn't what I meant. π I have noticed that most costume dramas, where the man is in a leadership role, rich or powerful etc, he will have to give it up to keep the girl and go live in the country, or he will have to give HER up or she will die. It is usually those 3 things. Communists can not have people rising above, owning things, "reaching their full potential", or making more of themselves. They have to remain or become poor or common, in the country, especially in these type of dramas.
Looks like Tian Jiarui's character stabbs Neo's character. (?) Also, in a clip, TJR is in the water, by the rocks. I wonder what happened..Hmm.π€ The behind the scenes, it was cute, that they quickly moved hair strands from each other's face when they got in the way. Haha.
