I think they have some similarities, but I usually don't think of Lu Yuxiao when I see Wang Churan. I personally prefer Wang Churan. I am not a fan of Lu Yuxiao, ( especially 2 + of her characters) she has portrayed are not to my liking.

I am not as clueless as you think. 😒I watched some of it too. I much prefer Wang Churan's portrayal. The animated version of her or donghua (at least early on) is over the top and caricature like), and her main styling is kind of ugly in my opinion. I guess that is on purpose though because she is supposed to be a seductress and a Villainous woman.

That's funny. I really like Wang Churan and Zhou Ye, but I don't like Zhao Lusi or Esther Yu (except for her in "My Journey to You")or Yang Zi (very much) and others! Most actors I love get paired up with actresses I don't like as well! It can be frustrating. 😩🤪Haha. We probably each have actresses and actors that we don't like or prefer over others. Well, you can have your opinion of course, but I am really enjoying her acting and appearance in this drama. I would have preferred for them to have used her natural original voice though and not some voice actress.
for a S+ tier project, the team really needs to step up their makeup and hairdo (wig) games :(
I actually think most of the makeup is really good, better than some other dramas. Her hair is pretty, but maybe some of the wigs could be a bit better.
