I think you misunderstood her comment. She wasn't putting down Peng Xiaoran, but the Drama, or the story that it is coming from. Mark Chao is a good actor (at least from what I have seen), but Peng Xiaoran is as well. She may not be "perfect" in every way in some scenes in her acting, but she is incredible in crying scenes and she is by far, better at acting than quite a few other actresses, including some popular ones. You can have your own opinion though, of course.
I think 12 episodes would be a little too rushed. It's really not that draggy. There is too much going on for that, even a romantic relationship trying to develop during all these situations, people, news and dealing with trauma. Of course, you can have your own opinion of this drama.

I don't know her well, but I like her so far. I feel a big sister protectiveness for Ren Min. Haha. And honestly, I think she is already better at acting than some of the other fairly new actresses out there in Chinese entertainment. She is a good crier. I enjoy how her acting or characters can seem more "mature" at times, or the seriousness/realism that she can add when she acts....at least from what little I have seen of her. I know that this is a pretty new genre of drama for Ren Min as well, so I hope she and Xiao Zhan complement each other in acting and do well. Hopefully, there will be lots of good chemistry too!😄😉

True. I agree. I had also read some comments from girls that were jealous or didn't like Ren Min (or don't think she is attractive enough or have another ship for Xiao Zhan) that were negative towards them kissing. I can understand them to a degree, but I do hope that the production won't listen to them this time. Haha.😅 Fortunately there has been positive things said about them too.

I agree! It would be an injustice if they take it out! I hope the people in production won't listen to any negativity towards it. That whole scene is a pretty important part.

In certain areas or scenes, I too hope that they stay true to the original source. Although I also think that some areas & characters could be improved or enhanced for the better. 😊😉
