I am reading melons that say the female lead could be: Ni Ni, Yang Mi, Angela Baby, and another actress (? I don't…
Thank you for the link! I think that Yang Mi or Ni Ni would be great paired up with Gong Jun! Talk about visuals. Haha.π Casting can be rather unpredictable for Chinese shows; so they may even have a different male lead etc.π€ͺ I wonder when they will start filming.

Yes. It irritated me as well. I was frustrated with her not doing or saying ANYTHING to defy those bullies.
But she COULD have done something. And saying that is NOT "borderline victim blaming". It is an observation.
Korean culture or laws are different, so there may have been more limitations as to what she could do, but she could have at least said something to the bullies and not just cower and "accept" the abuse.
Of course she is afraid and some people have a harder time with confrontation, but if she continued to do or say nothing, the bullying would continue.
The bullies are of course are at fault, and they should receive negative consequences for their actions.
Saying that the girl could have said or done something, does NOT have to be "condemning" her, but can be empowering her. The bullies were trying to take her "power"/confidence away, and because they thought she wouldn't do anything. Thinking that she Can do something, could help her feel empowered and maybe hopeful.
Have you heard anything about who might be paired up with TJC, as female lead?

I just really hope that most of their scenes won't be cut out.π₯Ίπ
