I am glad to hear that, because even though it is pretty good, I was kind of on the fence about watching more. I was wondering if things were basically going to be continually the same situations over and over. It also, can be kind of emotionally taxing.. I will check out at least a couple more episodes.

I have read that Zhao Lusi's father is very rich and has some "connections" (with the Communist party/regime?) though. That, I imagine must help her get so many opportunities to be with several of the top male actors and popular scripts...among so many other pretty actresses too...

I have read others on Weibo say that she Acts the same way or gets the same type of roles. Zhao Lusi just recently got a little different types of characters.
I too, like Peng Xiaoran, Diliraba Dilmurat, Zhao Lying, Ni Ni, Li Qin, Yang Mi and Bai Lu. I am not a fan of a few of the new or "younger" actresses. Some of them get more attention, because of their looks, and "backing" and not necessarily because of talent.
It is good to look "forward" and prepare for the future, but to also learn from the past. Some people, way of doing things, past Views and traditions are BETTER than what is "new", popular, or trendy/ or "acceptable" currently...
I admit that I do like some of Zhao Lusi's acting in "The Romance of Tiger and Rose."
Also, it seems that YOU are Not okay with me sharing my own feelings and opinion in my first comment post, when they weren't the same as yours...π€

I read someone's comment recently about this novel. The person said that the female character is a "Mary Sue" and that the story has no plot. That it is just there to make the female lead look good and "popular". If any of this is true, I hope that the scriptwriter changes some of the story and makes her less 'Mary Sue'.
It is strongly rumored that the main male lead is going to be Zhang Ling He. I am not exactly sure how I feel about that... I heard that the character is supposed to be rather ruthless and blackbellied(?) and possibly royalty(?). Could he "pull that off " with presence and charisma? Hmm..
