How can Tu Shan Jing, (who many book fans, from what I read) thought was the MAIN Male lead, suddenly become the 3rd Male Lead?🤪😓😬 It's so sad...🥺

I don't completely know what the drama people are going to do, but I have my suspicions. 😅

The strange thing is, most people who read the book, truly thought Tu Shan Jing was the Main Male lead and that Xiang Liu was the 2nd. It wasn't until the author said that it was Zhuanxu did most people realize it. 😩
Xiang liu is for the most part, the "favorite" of fans.
So, I am concerned that they will really change the story and characters. They may take from the other male leads and give "it"/characteristics/scenes etc to Zhuanxu.
I am particularly concerned that they will make Tu Shan Jing really "weak", unimportant, have less scenes, & possibly end up alone or be with the female lead as a "2nd Choice"... I don't know..🥺
So far from what I've read, out of the 3 male lead characters, Xiang Liu and Tu Shan Jing are my favorites (it may change).😅
I hope book fans and drama watchers will be pretty satisfied with the results. 😉

I completely agree with you.
But I hope my comment didn't give the impression that I have anything against Tan Jian Ci. I have watched the first few episodes of his drama "under the Skin" and I like it so far. His character and him are charming, and there's a special detailed, delicacy when he is acting seriously/trying to solve a crime (the camera & lighting really help portray that impression). I will have to watch more to be more certain.😅

Xiang Liu (from what I've heard) is a beautiful, Dangerous, almost snake/dragon looking individual, with a hidden softness underneath, and Tall.
Deng Wei is the tallest of the 3 actors, and his image and aura can probably "fit" Xiang Liu's character the most. Deng Wei could probably act as either of those characters: Xiang Liu and Tu Shan Jing, because he has kind of acted both "types" and has a more "hidden" softness to him, but has less acting experience.

Tan Jian Ci does seem to have a gentler image and is the shortest of the 3 male leads, but has (I believe) the most acting experience. And he is getting more recognition from "Under the Skin."

Quite a few comments I have read; book fans think that Deng Wei would be better, but a few others think that since Xiang Liu is a complex character, that Deng Wei may not be "ready" for it yet...(but some of them hadn't seen his acting😅).

There are definitely some people that think they should switch the characters and have Tan Jian Ci portray Tu Shan Jing (he is more gentle, intelligent & a bit "blackbellied"), and Deng Wei as Xiang Liu, but it doesn't look as if that will happen.

Yes. That is what I read as well, but I think they might change it. I hope that they don't change it to Zhuan Xu, and keep her with Tu Shan Jing or Xiang Liu, but then that will make them more of the "main Male lead" in dramaland...

Wow. This synopsis sounds so different from what I have heard about the book. In the book; Tu Shan Jing is gentle & intelligent (works/manipulates a bit behind the scenes?). He and the main female lead love each other and end up together(?), NOT him loving her silently.. Xiang Liu is dangerous and more of the protecting and loving her silently, one...
And the "main male lead" is ambitious for the throne and uses her to get what he wants (or more selfish )and is cousins (?) with her and attracted to/"likes" the female lead.
What the heck are they going to do and how are they going to change these characters and story??🤯😬

I hope you are correct, but more recently they are saying that Deng Wei will be Tu Shanjing, and Tan Jian Ci will be Xiang Liu. Wang Yi is supposed to be Zhuanxu (I am not sure how to spell his name) the "main male lead".

And the 2-3 persons were Not asking what these actors could "offer" either. If they had asked about them, their previous shows or if they could act or were good actors etc; I would have maybe responded, and if I did, it would have been differently.
You are right, those kind of questions/curiosity/evaluating, are normal and perfectly fine.

I am still perplexed that you felt the need to comment to me in the first place, when it appeared that most of us were mostly "moving on" from that topic, and that several of us on here seemed to have agreed to try to not make this page divisive and to focus on supporting this drama.

I was very tired, so that may have affected my impression of your words intention. If you weren't meaning to be condescending, that's good. But from my perspective it could definitely be taken as such when you "had" to bring in a dictionary explanation. It can give the impression of you trying to act superior like "I am so knowledgeable, and you can't disagree with me", kind of thing, when "hard carry" has more than one meaning or way to use the term. Infact, I have seen people write that, and also imply or mean that the other leading actor is not a good actor/actress.

Also, at that time, quite a few gave the impression that they were inagreement with at least some of what I said. So when you said 'this is what we're ALL taking about', and this type of meaning to "hard carry"; those words seemed to appeared out of the blue, kind of dishonest and manipulative, or trying to use "peer pressure" on me . Those are the reasons why I thought you were being condescending.

I hope you can understand what I am saying. I can get a bit wordy. 😓
