I really hope that they do wait for Li Yitong! I would prefer that Deng Yi will be portrayed by a few other actors though. LYT will have already been in 2 to be aired dramas with Cheng Yi. He would probably do quite a good job, but I would love to see some other actors (Who could probably do a good job as well) get the part and to be paired with LYT.

That is definitely some of the reason. But the editing, lack of character development, lack of important information and plot holes, and some inconsistencies are a big part of why this drama is failing as well.
