I think it is because of the billing order between Wang Peng and Liang Jie (Winner) and Liang Jie and Guli Naza ( The awake) . So, both dramas listed Liang Jie as Special Guest Star instead of supporting role on weibo.
On Weibo, there are multiple black marketing who trying to question the achievement of Wang Peng and Guli Nahza as female lead of the drama before they were announced.
I believe that Liang Jie is now able to select characters more freely than before regardless of whether it is supporting or female lead.
This is just my opinion and I hope I didn't hurt other fandoms. Nowadays, every fandom is extremely sensitive😅.

yup.. WOT really has an impact on her as she has the opportunity to cast in a serious drama/movie with great actors such as Hu Ge ,Lei Jiayin, and Huang Jiangyu. Includes a top-notch director and scriptwriter. My opinion is that in C-entertainment, it is important to establish connections.

the latest drama "Winner" is under Tancent/ WeTV. If I not mistaken, it is big budget drama S+. The male lead is Huang Jingyu and Liang Jie will be played as his business partner (Although it is supporting character, it has a lot of character growth and likeable based what I heard from Douban group )
