Good that you’ve made the decision to spare yourself the angst of watching the final episode. This drama gave…
Ur welcome ❤️

I really went from utterly despising CX's character to rooting for him and even feeling sorry for him. He went through a 360-degree character redemption, but PJ barely changes. He really became a decent person while handling all these military duties sincerely. That even made me a bit proud of him.

PJ, on the other hand, claimed to be tired of their relationship but never stuck to her decision; it was just exhausting to watch.

Their reunion in ep 35 never felt sincere or loving to me, just CX bowing his head to the woman he loves for the final time. It was just exhausting to say the least.

I am glad u chose to stop by ep 31; after that, the story just leaves a bitter aftertaste that I can't seem to shake off.....

Here I go to watch something fluffy and sweet 😍🫰

PJ never apologises, they just move as if nothing happened and it's even CX who apologies for not protecting her better.

This story is just like a circle of bad actions, forgetting them and moving to the next cycle. No one is held truly accountable for their actions, neither PJ, CX, XT, nor Tao Ziyi. They just move on.

Ik Tao Ziyi apologises to PJ, but that's barely anything compared to her past actions. XT even pushes PJ to kill him, and still the show shows their past affection while he dies like bruh what????!!!!

There was no real point in so many subplots of the story and barely any accountability for the schemes and suffering inflicted on others. Everybody just lives and dies, convincing themselves to be the biggest victims and in deep self-pity.

Reddit gave me too much trauma someone literally accused me of mysogyny and even said I was anti- woman or something like that. So I just reported it and deleted the account 😭 .

I said pretty much the same things I mentioned here....the conversations are much more civilized here....Thank god

Mmmm I get u bro

I was trying to criticize her wish wash attitude and the constant push and pull which hurt them both but to the audience CX has been suffering more.

But trust me bro the comments here are much more civilized and humane some were unhinged but regardless. Much better than the dark place I went earlier for some opinion~Reddit~~pure trauma bro 😭💀

People there were cursing their keyboards out and calling anyone having varied opinions all sorts of things 😶‍🌫️

IKR, ig she gets to realise how well she was treated by CX when she is kidnapped by her darling XT. Ugh I hate his face and I feel bad for how badly she is gonna be treated him .

Ughhh I should have never watched this drama. The sheer stupidity of these characters are the only thing revolving in my head nowadays.

Thank you. I am sick of the comments here, people are so bad to the FL. How is her pain considered nothing. It…
uhhh so she still wanted to show gratitude to someone who literally tried to force himself on her....and had no issue talking sweetly to him (prayer scene) , defending him ( when he was accused of working with the Japanese) and even asking for his help when she needed it (to save trash) ...... but she never intended to give him hope....ok bro 😎

I guess u have gotten many free lunches....from this world. That's why u think she can use his power and influence and get away as soon as her need is fulfilled, and he will stand there understanding her intentions. He is a warlord, fgs, not a sensitive modern man.

On top of that, he kept flirting her, teasing her and pulling her close in every single meeting, kept her hair clip or something with him for a long time and even tried to force kiss her.

He pretty much made his obssession clear in the initial episodes when he forced her to be his fake GF and all that.

In addition to all these considering all the points @madyush mentioned, if she didnt catch his level of obssession, then it's some other level of dumbness.

I AM OUT.....🫰🫰PEACE BRUH

Victim blaming? The country was under a martial law at the time in brink of a widespread war. This girl has no…
I think it's because the drama always shows her as pitiful and victimised, and I bought it for quite a while as well.

But when she tried ending her life...the smile and smirk she had when she saw CX horrified....that is not desperation to escape; it was a calculated move....and in the end she walked away free while her mom got surgery and her trash fiance released.

Aesthetics and background music can victimise people for a few episodes, not the whole freaking 30-40 episodes 😭😭😭😭😭MIND U I AM NOT SAYING SHE DIDN'T SUFFER, BUT IF SHE WAS THAT TRAMATISED FROM THE FORCING THING, SHE WOULD HAVE NOT SHOWN UP AFTER THE WAR LEAP.

Please don't attack me, but to me, it looked like she was super normal when meeting him in the opera theatre, and it looked like he was more horrified and traumatised.

Maybe I should drop this drama here, cause PJ is gonna return to CX soon and all the people defending PJ here will vanish by tomorrow. And the same cycle will continue

These people defending PJ while blaming CX just can't accept that she is terribly indecisive, which has left them leading nowhere.

Ya she was caught after a demonstration or protest went violent.... If it wasn't for him, she would be dead long ago.....I even have a wild theory that she is a time traveller because her behaviour is 100% like a modern lady and not someone forced to live in poverty and war struggles ✨

If she were to have a personality of a person living in that era, her personality would be more similar to AChou/ Wei Rao from Where the Mask Ends. It would be pure survival, not arguing with warlords, no backup plan.

With the number of times she and her mom have ended up in that flashy hospital, without CX, they would have spent years just paying bills ig 😭

I thought it was another person trying to accuse me of victim blaming while I was just calling out her recklessness and lack of accountability.

People here are pretty quick to judge others ig 😭😭😭

I am sorry, i read the novel and also watched the drama from the begining. The novel CX is total trash who can't be defended. But here, he changes himself and tells her to stay away from her repeatedly especially after the ending life thing. But she kept acting normal and friendly to him knowing he is obsessed with her? Everyone here hated CX in the begining when he forced himself on her but her repeatedly giving hope to him while having no intention of accepting his feelings is weird

Victim blaming? The country was under a martial law at the time in brink of a widespread war. This girl has no…
It is quite clear she left the house without any clear plans, anyone planning to escape somewhere especially someone pregnant will find out in advance whether trains are running and if there is MARTIAL LAW in place. But she had no clue which means she was impulsive and didn't consider that her irresponsible actions could lead to her child dying.

Ik a mothers pain of losing her child is nowhere comparable to a dad's both physically and mentally. But this girl is happily selling flowers a few months later while CX is crazy looking for her without even knowing she already lost their child.

Ig people here are flustered cause of her lacking survival skills....when a group of thugs are threatening u and u have no way of defeating them physically, the worst thing u can do is threaten them with police....that too during wartime....

I understand ur perspective the story is written from ML POV but her actions are really cruel from the couple POV who willingly decided to have a child when they were in love

You know what you are doing, you are doing victim blaming. When a girl goes out at night, and she gets assaulted,…
Victim blaming? The country was under a martial law at the time in brink of a widespread war. This girl has no sense of responsibility and she puts herself in danger by running away without even a solid plan.
If she had planned on how she would keep herself and their child safe after running away and how she would survive financially with her pregnancy alone, I would 100% support her cause it's her personal choice. But here that's not the case

U cannot watch a series set in the republican era with ur modern mindset. People living at that time had to make careful choice to survive especially with how single women with children were treated at the time. But here our PJ barely has enough wit to keep herself safe and alive

Morals and headstrong mindset don't work when law is overthrown by force in this case military , u need to adapt to survive this girl doesn't know how to. 😭😭

Who in the comments even said only the male lead's pain matters bro.
PJ's actions are plain stupid and irresponsible considering she is pregnant.

How does this girl not feel a bit guilty... at least for the 1000 times he saved her, took care of her mom, risked his career to save her trash fiancée? Just knows to use his power to save herself, then give him hope and finally push him away.

Regardless of whether she had amnesia or not, they were in love and decided to have that child together. Nobody forced any of them; despite that, she ran away, and the moment she was out of his haven, she ran into trouble and lost the child. Didn't even think that this was his child, too.

She barely had a plan for how she was gonna live after running away, especially with a child on the way; what was she planning to do amidst the war? What was she planning to do if she hadn't met her old friends from the theatre? The girl could have planned for her child at least before, but nahhh

Considering she knows how much he wanted a family with her, she doesn't feel a bit of guilt towards him for even denying him the minimum right to know that she was pregnant. He had to hear it from her maid.

Pingjun may be shown as a pure, headstrong woman, but her subtle actions are really cruel towards everybody who genuinely cares for her. Wb his family who accepted her with open arms (except his dad)......

I AGREE WITH U SO MUCH she and her fake smilesWhy cant people just talk stuff out in these dramas???? She keeps…
Ya the scene when she threw the coins and talked back at him were soo empowering, and that was when I actually rooted for her.

I think she threw that sense of justice and also her brain into the dustbin when her darlin traitor fiancé came back from Japan ✨✨✨✨, that too after abandoning his other girl after using her (he thinks he is some person with a huge purpose of something...gross )

She just started defending him and even struck a deal with YCX without even figuring out if he was innocent or not.

1. When Xueting is arrested for being a spy, Pingjun voluntarily makes a deal with Changxuan ryt to become his…
I really didn't understand what she expected after all those glances...he is a warlord, a very powerful one who is used to his word being the final one. He made it clear that he was obsessed with her... even a small sign or initiative meant a LOT to him.

He works on a cause-and-effect system, I think, where everything she does is a big deal for him, which makes him think she is finally ready to accept him, like the prayer and painting thing.

But this girl keeps provoking him. I get that she maybe never meant to give him hints that she is interested, but the result is quite the same, and she kinda knows it too by now (hopefully 😭).

For me, if she had no intent on accepting his affection/ feelings, she shouldn't have let herself show her feelings in anyway, let alone those deep looks and defending him in front of everyone when he was being accused of working with the Japanese. I get that she was trying to show her gratitude, but what difference did it make except the same cycle repeating?

Even when she tried her scheme (for me) of trying to end her life, and CX told her to leave, she still came in front of him in the opera house scene and acted normal in front of him as if nothing happened to thank him.

I think her actions are too conflicting for even a modern person to figure out, let alone a warlord used to getting everything done his way.
