Two things I enjoy about today's time episode (24):
1) The resolution between the Mu siblings. I couldn't have asked for anything more beautiful. When she stepped back to protect him, it was so sweet π I loved that we got to see her opinions about demons changed throughout the series and how that ultimately led to the conclusion here.
2) The sweet scene between Miao Miao and Mu Sheng at the end. When he was rubbing his head against her--oh my heart--It's crazy that the series is about the end and we haven't seen a single kiss between the leads. What's even crazier is that the second couple kissed before the main couple did π Let's hope we're about the see the steamiest kiss of all time ππ»
So for folks who read the novel, how is the series standing up against the book? I might check it out after finishing the drama but i heard the ending was unsatisfying and that even the extra chapters made it worse π¬
Not just face card, his eye expressions are crazy good. He can freaking act.
For real though. The big reveal in episode 7 was really well done. He was able to portray so many emotions in that one scene and when he did the head tilt π₯Ή He ate this role so hard!
Yo can we take a moment to appreciate Ding Yu Xi's lethal face card? That scene in episode 18 when he leaned in to threatened the prince got me feeling a type of way π«£
The second video is from S1 when he met the princess for the first time. Does anyone know why the bilibili links…
Sorry if that came off as rude, that was not my intention! Thanks for sharing the links. I remember on the actor Yang Xu Wen's weibon he posted a 9-minute behind the scene of him talking about the filming process. No idea what he is saying since I don't know any Chinese but would you or anyone happen to know what is being talked about in the bts?
I got some spare time this week and decided to make translations for one promo interview on Douyin with the 4…
This is amazing. Thank you! I saw this interview a while back but idk any mandarin so this great. I'm going to enjoy watching this ππ«°π»
Wish I can understand and read mandarin so I can watch this drama with timed comments in iQiyi. I bet it's so much fun kind of like Viki (but it can be annoying sometimes too)
I made a group edit of the main casts on my Tik Tok if anyone wants to see! I had so much fun making this short clip. And I've never done edits like this before but hope you all enjoy!
I love the camaraderie in this show. When LLF got his first paycheck, the first thing he wanted to do was treat all his friends to a meal and even went to buy a surprise gift for Xijun. My boy has grown so much! π€§
Also, I'm rewatching the series and does anyone understand that scene in episode 32 where he was like "When you're out investigating, calling me Sheriff Lu sounds nice" why did Xijun have him that look? Was she shy π I can't tell what expression that was.
Also, this is kind of an easter egg but back in the octopus case, the reason why LLF slapped the other two dudes was apparently bc they coveted Xijun. When I saw this scene I thought it was funny and kind of weird how he didn't hit them but slap them instead, and now I know.
Love love love this series!!! Which was your favorite case?? I loved Mo's Inn and Drunk in Yunding!!!!
In terms of most fun I'd say Mo's Inn but in terms of lasting impressions nd strongest emotional impact it will have to be the last case (cause Duanbao) and the Coroner's case!
Chicken Fei. Thirteen Fei. Handsome Fei. Who would guess the vagrant from Ghost Market, turned out to be a disciple…
I love the little scene in the Rhino Case where he dared LLF that he will find out what's going on at the blacksmith shop within three questions. Their dynamic was hilarious here πΉ
1) how to deal with STOTD withdrawals now that S2 is over?
2) I don't usually do this but can anyone recommend some good fanfiction that's been written for this show? Asking for a friend π π» Chinese is okay cause I can just do machine translation π
3) I saw a while back while the show was airing they did a who's on your list of top scumbags in the show. I thought it was super fun so I'm sharing mine: Li Yun, Niu Daming, Bao Kang, the Coroner's shitty brother in law (forgot his name).
Just finished Season 2 To the West and It's even better than the first story. While the first one was a dark horse…
Next two years?? That's too long π but they blew S2 out of the park so I know they will do S3 justice. I want them to take all the time they need to produce something wonderful for us to see
Through S1 and S2, Xijun character attested to be more than just the girl for the protagonist. Not to be the eye…
Well said! Xijun has shown multiple times how intelligent she is. She's from a famous family so she knows show to conduct herself as such but beyond that she's really smart, as expected from an affluent upbringing.
The actress Gao Si Wen who played her wrote this on the Weibo (idk Chinese I just do google translate) that did a great job breaking down her character. In it, she wrote that Xijun "dares to love and hate" and that to me explains her relationship with Lulu a lot. She loves him but never dare to back down from voicing her opinions. https://m.weibo.cn/status/506375538449703
I thoroughly enjoyed her character and was really happy to know more about her character this season.
The same with Ying Tao. she's super strong and brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience from the Jiang Hu. Plus, that little tidbit about her being SWM's disciple when she was examining the corpse in the last case? I can't wait to see her character more fleshed out in the next season!

Mind you, the only other drama I've seen him in was Romance of Tiger and Rose and that one I didn't even finish. So I was never attracted to this actor or thought he looked handsome. I think he looked fine like anyone else. But my gawd π©βπΌthis man's face gave me butterflies and his cute interactions with Esther got me giggling and kicking my feet. I'm 26 years old for goodness' sake π
Does anyone know why the bilibili links don't work? Id love to see what's being shared π

Update: If you crave LLF x PXJ fanfiction here's a dedicated page I found on Weibo using their ship name εθΏ½ι£ (which means chasing the wind or something like that!) π₯Ήπ€π» Idk Chinese so I just use Google Image translation hehehe βΊοΈ https://m.weibo.cn/p/index?extparam=%E5%96%9C%E8%BF%BD%E9%A3%8E&containerid=10080891c7a90b175b41ed208b967427b4602c&luicode=20000061&lfid=4918977841596481
