Genes dont have to be passed down. There are recessive genes that can skip generations so you could for example…
I think it is very unlikely for it to have a second season to explain the origin of power. though it is about powered people the main theme is relationships and characters. so unless the origin of power can contribute to it rather than just provide an explanation unlikely they will focus on it. But yes i think a 2nd season might be needed because there r just way too many questions.
Yup looks like he didnt lose his license when he went after Frank LOL now another altercation in today's ep too…
My man is taking job security to a whole other level. however, i do wonder how he escaped the govt. him and naju's children or are they like on sort of on-demand kind of thing (I don't know how to phrase it better)

however, in this case it is very unlikely it is a recessive gene. All the children having powers despite having non superpowered parents indicates that it is not a recessive gene but rather a dominant gene. It even can be co-dominant gene looking at how bongseok has both his parent's powers. My theory is that it is like the x gene, a very random mutation that has been introduced in their gene pool. Why there is such a mutation i have a bunch of theories which I will be happy to share. but my primary one is epigenetics - so circumstances led to the mutation (more like survival of the fittest but quicker).
Sorry to go all biology here, cuz i have theorized this for very long.
i was right about sejin and the explosion! hogae is not dead though the body on the table will be his. i think it is a plan between him and doha and they roped ms yoon in. myeongpil and seol are not aware.
So I was right about Sejin and the explosion. Hogae is 100% not dead, but we will see his body on the autopsy table. I think it is a plan between him and doha, and they got yoon involved. Myeongpil and seol will be unaware and I think it will be a point of conflict and rls development for them. I think they need to pretend hogae is dead to deceive sejin cuz noting how intricate his network is. I think the body most likely is ma taehwa's but it can be the other detective too. I wanna know sejin's true motives. I don't why I have this feeling that dojin might return or he might play a big role.

I KNEW SEJIN WAS SUS!! very typical of getting involved with the investigation to manipulate it. The real question is his true motive. Also, I was right about the explosion. I am just going to write my theories here to see how accurate they are after next week.: 1. Jin Hogae is 100% not dead. First, the body can belong to anyone in the van (Ma Taehwa or the other detective). The body we see in the autopsy will be Jin Hogae's (cuz we see it in the trailer). I think him, Doha and Yoon Hong are in this plan of faking death to catch Sejin (the original plan was between him and Doha). Cuz now that we see how deep and intricate Sejin's connection is, the only way to avoid his suspicions is to pretend he is dead. 2. I have a feeling Dojin might return (this is wishful thinking), but still. 3. I think hiding the plan from Seol will be a point of conflict and also a point of relationship development.
