I liked the intensity of those feelings, even if they were dark. What moved me the most was the flood of different emotions she felt when she discovered he was still alive in the novel: happiness, relief, rage. In the drama, she has shown more anger than anything else toward ZGY; I don’t understand the purpose behind those changes.

Agree, the only thing that's exactly the same in both the novel and the drama is that Yan Xun is absolute trash, the novel its better, but i think the drama is enjoyable, maybe cause it came after 10 years of waiting, maybe its the cast or idk, but i dont hate it, but if i have to chose, i would chose 10000 times the novel, more epic, romance is way more intense, loyalty as well

It is officially the sequel to Princess Agents. I understand that this time they have the author's approval, but it’s not a literal adaptation; many things differ. For instance, Zhuge Yue's plot after the lake: in Rebirth, he is poisoned and reunites with Chu Qiao almost immediately. However, in the novel, it doesn't happen that way. In the book, he is gravely injured and spends years recovering; his men rescue him from the lake, and he goes to another kingdom to build his power. Two years pass before he meets Chu Qiao again. The romance is much more intense in the novel. I haven't finished reading it yet, but we can say that it is both the continuation of the 2017 drama and a not-so-faithful adaptation of the novel

it was way back in time, and the translation was not that good, thats why i didn't read the whole novel, i stopped a little after they separate but i'm reading it again from the beginning, even thought i like the drama i like the novel more, i think its worth it a full read, maybe soon enough i will know why that part is one of your favorites

yeah the mask is the same as the novel, but just the thing about the mask, there was not suspense, intrigue, a desperatly need to know if it was her imagining things or if he was really Zhuge Yue, in the drama she saw the pendant and instantly knew he was him, well maybe because it was already reveled that he was alive, idk :( i was not waiting for a phisically romace since the actress was underage, but at least i wanted the feelings i saw in the novel been convey propetly T.T

Novel readers are u happy with all the changes done to Zhuge Yue story line? and how it affected Chu Qiao-Zhuge Yue story ? i read the novel until they meet 2 years after the ice lake, and to be honest i liked more that way, that make me felt that Chu Qiao Feelings for Zhuge Yue were reaññy strong and filled with regret for not having realize it soon enough, Rebirth changes did not gave me that T.T, i still like the drama, but cant really understand that changes

i wanted to do the same thing, but to be honest Chu Qiao-Yan xun relationship annoys me, dont know why, i don like Yan Xun at all, i cant stand how he uses her and how she protects him so many times

Im so confuse, i dont know who are allies with the ML, Prime Minister Wei sometimes looks like an enemy, but he does not talk much, maybe he is one of the good ones ? idk, his son is clearly evil, Grand tutor feels evil too, he gives off an air of being manipulative and shameless, maybe they all are evil T.T
