This adaptation has only left me confused. I stopped watching at episode 21, waiting for all the episodes to be released, but I've encountered several spoilers that make me feel like watching this adaptation is a complete betrayal of the novel. I'm saddened by the cast; I wanted the drama to have good ratings despite the senseless changes because og them.

You calling her ugly means that u should be somewhere near Dilraba's beauty, Zhao Lusi, Wang Churan, Bai Lu, Meng Zhiyi, Tain Xiwei etc, right ? I mean, you should be even more beautiful than these actress to at least said that she is not even pretty, to call her ugly ur visuals should be out of this world. I think you are just sick

On the cast ? What are u talking about ?, the cast is one of the few things i liked so far, this was supposed to be the sequel to season one, but with the approval of the novel's author to make it more faithful to the source material; that is why the name was changed from Yuwen Yue to the original Zhuge Yue. i never mentioned season 1, or the cast, you need to work on your reading comprehension

for me it was awesome LBTG hits hard emotionally in the last episodes, Dilraba acting was really good, just my opinion hehe

Love beyond the grave make cry literally a river in the 3 last episodes, it has a very strong ending emotionally speaking, also it was awesome that the war and all the scheming ended and they developed the relationship afterward, so u just set my expectations very high

Ten years of expectations can't be summed up as 'you don't have to like it'. They can be summed up as 'it should have been worth it; personal taste is irrelevant, the problem is the waste.

8.6 ? is this a hidden gem ? im to scare to start watching this, since it has FOF vibes, the fear of encounter another ending like that is strong in my heart

I don't think thats the reason, i would said that is for all the unresonable changes, they killed too many epic scenes, esence of some characters, etc, so far it has not been a single change in the plot for the better, it's a shame, since it's a very good cast

I'm so disapointed in this adaptation, can't believe what they did to Chu Qiao character, i was liking the drama so but making her going to Ya Xun once and once again got me burn out, i can't understand why they did all this lame changes, they killed so many epic scenes, it hurts my heart T.T

Yan Xun made episode 17 unbearable to watch. I can't believe I find him even more repulsive than in the novel; he's definitely one of the most annoying characters I've seen lately

I liked the intensity of those feelings, even if they were dark. What moved me the most was the flood of different emotions she felt when she discovered he was still alive in the novel: happiness, relief, rage. In the drama, she has shown more anger than anything else toward ZGY; I don’t understand the purpose behind those changes.

So far 0 romance, just hints of romance, i think thats all we r gonna get this time cuz the thing about the actress age

Agree, the only thing that's exactly the same in both the novel and the drama is that Yan Xun is absolute trash, the novel its better, but i think the drama is enjoyable, maybe cause it came after 10 years of waiting, maybe its the cast or idk, but i dont hate it, but if i have to chose, i would chose 10000 times the novel, more epic, romance is way more intense, loyalty as well

It is officially the sequel to Princess Agents. I understand that this time they have the author's approval, but it’s not a literal adaptation; many things differ. For instance, Zhuge Yue's plot after the lake: in Rebirth, he is poisoned and reunites with Chu Qiao almost immediately. However, in the novel, it doesn't happen that way. In the book, he is gravely injured and spends years recovering; his men rescue him from the lake, and he goes to another kingdom to build his power. Two years pass before he meets Chu Qiao again. The romance is much more intense in the novel. I haven't finished reading it yet, but we can say that it is both the continuation of the 2017 drama and a not-so-faithful adaptation of the novel

it was way back in time, and the translation was not that good, thats why i didn't read the whole novel, i stopped a little after they separate but i'm reading it again from the beginning, even thought i like the drama i like the novel more, i think its worth it a full read, maybe soon enough i will know why that part is one of your favorites

yeah the mask is the same as the novel, but just the thing about the mask, there was not suspense, intrigue, a desperatly need to know if it was her imagining things or if he was really Zhuge Yue, in the drama she saw the pendant and instantly knew he was him, well maybe because it was already reveled that he was alive, idk :( i was not waiting for a phisically romace since the actress was underage, but at least i wanted the feelings i saw in the novel been convey propetly T.T

Novel readers are u happy with all the changes done to Zhuge Yue story line? and how it affected Chu Qiao-Zhuge Yue story ? i read the novel until they meet 2 years after the ice lake, and to be honest i liked more that way, that make me felt that Chu Qiao Feelings for Zhuge Yue were reaññy strong and filled with regret for not having realize it soon enough, Rebirth changes did not gave me that T.T, i still like the drama, but cant really understand that changes
