Right now only 3 of the male leads are introduced properly and out of them only 2nd sister's husband in annoying imo. Like he is a man child, cheats on her (though its not explicitly shown in the drama), and is very afraid of her.

I like the Main lead. Even though he did some things to harm the FL, the fl did the same to him.

Also, till now, Elder sister's to-be husband is like a saint.

Is it just me or the way the characters are written gives very much Anime feel?? Like Idk what it is, but seeing this drama reminds me of when I used to watch Anime, even though the plot is VERY different from your normal animes.

Yeah, but he was the best out of all the scholars, so there is a very high chance he would pass it.

As for the last part, I agree that its tricking him and hope he soon finds out its the 1st sister that prepared the questions and sent him the books.

Even if you don't like the drama, there is no point of downvoting episodes that are not even out yet. Like wdym episode 9 and 10 both have only 1 star when we haven't even seen it yet.

She organized a competition and thought Du Yang Xi was the best in terms of talent and can become the top scholar.

Top scholar is one of the best titles someone can get, and is worthy of marrying the prime minister's daughter. So the answer is quite obvious

Some people are saying that the ML doesn't deserve the FL, others are saying the FL doesn't deserve the ML.

I think both deserve each other and are truly the "PERFECT MATCH" lol. They are both alike in a lot of aspects.

Most of the people loving the drama likes both the male and female characters, and accept that no one is perfect. Its people like you that are hating on either male or female character. You don't like these men, someone other don't like these women. Its as simple as that.

And if we are looking it at an unbiased perspective, BOTH of them are flawed.

I personally don't think the ML is all that bad as people are making him out to be.

After watching episode 7 and 8, its quite obvious that the drama is self aware that no character here is perfect. Like Li Kangning said "Let's see which evil prevails".

All the characters are imperfect and flawed in alot of ways. We just have to see and wait for the character development.

In that sense, the drama is very different from normal Cdramas, where the male and female lead are perfect from the start.

I am really surprised people here thinks the men are problematic, when these are the same people loving shows like LBFAD, TTEOM, LYF, SOKP, GBMP, KMLM etc..

Like the male lead in those dramas treated the FL objectively worse than here, yet people love them.

What's the problem with enjoying queen of tears and when the phone rings lol? I love both of them alot and didn't think the plot was problematic

As for your last line, I loved the female characters too, but if they were male, would you still say the same?
If the wife was cheating on her husband and her husband beats his wife daily, would you like his character?

Or if it was a male character that slapped the FL bcoz of misunderstanding, would u like him?

The answer is most probably no.

Everyone in the drama is flawed. Character development takes time.

I am really excited for their story and the eldest sister's story.

I have a feeling it would reach 8.5 if there is proper character development for everyone, bcoz every single character in the drama is flawed and that's its charm.

This is not the right place bcoz people here love the Female characters of this drama too and if the same things were done by a male yall would hate it.

If the ML slapped the FL even before listening to her justification, yall would hate it even more. So both the characters are flawed.
