Cao Jiang Xian a eunuch and Zhao Bing Wen who is a minster and his benefactor.
Sure. He wanted the Gui Seal. The Gui Seal was used by the other tribe, it is believed that it controls the zombie/ghost army. The Duke once fell from grace when he fought and lost a battle with them. People also want the seal to control the army, and have power since the emperor has no heir, they can put who they want. You will know more about the seal and the 3 fishes that can be used to open the seal as the episodes progress.
He knew all along, he was working for ZBW by training ZH. The other master decided to burn in the house when ZH…
He owed his life to ZBW. ZBW was ZH’s enemy but not the master’s enemy. He has his own story, which was not the focus, but he was saved by ZBW way back when. That’s how he was repaying his debt. The plan was for ZH to never know. the story for them would have hopefully ended when the guy was framed and everyone move on. The plan was for ZH to never have known who the enemy was and if he did know it was to kill him. Just to add, both masters were conflicted with this, they had an argument. That’s why he left the house early instead of going with ZH in the morning and the other master decided to die, burn in the house when Zang Hai left the house.
What doesn’t really make sense to me is:Did the master (GM) know all along that ZBW was his third enemy? From…
He knew all along, he was working for ZBW by training ZH. The other master decided to burn in the house when ZH left because they were all working for ZBW. Both masters owed their lives to ZBW, and were paying back by doing as he said. ZBW was hoping to not have to fight ZH. That is why he framed that other guy, and wanted Zang Hai to work closely with him as a loyal minister to him.
I note there is a new emperor in the end. But no mention of what happened to the old emperor and how he died.…
From the conversation, ZBW killed the emperor, he told ZH he arrested all his eunuchs for incompetence, that were there to see emperor was still alive when ZH left him. So silencing them. ZBW literally died of a heart attack, it was all so real for just him. So no open wounds.
I feel like the mask guy’s death wasn’t epic. He had no remorse or last words denialism. I really thought…
I thought it was poetic justice. He fell into a trap by the truths he kept going on about and death by the thing he plotted so long for and wanted to have possession of.
1. The 3 masters were allies, but still, they don’t trust each other. Why? And it seems like CJX and ZB trusted…
I don’t think he was ever portrayed has someone who had it all together, he was human and not perfect, his master kept saying he was not ready. Him knowing what the food did and his master saving him really showed the relationship they had in the end, how strong it was. the master knew he going to be killed by ZBW and died being true to himself saving his disciple. I thought it was beautifully done.

Agree they are answered in the series, I am too lazy to respond to the questions as it will take a lot of explaining. Easier if it was irl conversation.
I liked how we were on this journey with Zang Hai. Every few episodes they would remind us how he was young. When we met him he wasn’t the final product of his training. We were not meeting some seasoned strategist but a young man, on the job training lol. They kept reminding us how he entered the capital prematurely, not emotionally trained and how young he was. We watched him grow and take out some seasoned players.
I thought so too. I’m like wot…… after all that, and that’s how he dies? Left me kind of baffled. I still…
Yes, when he said let’s destroy the seal. Then he helped lure him into the cave, for the illusion to kill him. ZH told ZBW a truth, that if you enter you will not come out alive.

They would have to add more episodes and it would be a bit of a drag. I liked the poetic justice and Zang Hai being the ultimate puppet master just watching him die without putting a finger on him. I was like mwahahaha 😂

I thought it was poetic justice. Being killed by the very thing he had been chasing all these years. And being told truths that he didn’t believe, which he kept saying to Zang Hai- about he tricked him with half truths.
Honestly , I was in the no need for romance camp. But it totally makes sense why it was added, it really came together well in the end. Zang Hai needed someone he could truly count on. It was also the right amount of it, it didn’t take over the plot Antu should be called the eunuch adopted son/daughter slayer. The way she stopped that Lu Yan from escaping, was pretty cool.
