In my opinion, it is obvious what Shen has planned. the princess ruined his life and he will take revenge.
His character is very confusing in a good way, they keep us guessing . I am sure he was content in prison, would rather have been left there , but the princess dragged him back into the game. He would rather be dead than be with her.

I knew that SYR was going to âshovel herâ. She humiliated him so many times, treated him like he is not even human. I do feel sorry for what she went through in the past, but in no way does it excuse all the innocent lives she has taken and hurt. The Emperor and the court seem to have tried to pay her back, she has so much power. But she used all that goodwill for bad. I am still looking forward to her public downfall. And SYRâs downfall too.

Honestly I donât find their scenes romantic. Itâs a case of quality over quantity. I donât get butterflies when they interact. Also I think they are in an abusive relationship, now not sure who is using whom.
