Such a solid drama for the first 8 episodes. I thought I was done with Xuanhuan/Xianxia’s, but apparently not 🤣.

She is desperately in love with GAO’s character, and she knows he loves Shen Yue’s character, but she he has heart. Ireine Song’s character performs as an understudy in a play, and GAO’s character ends up being late to the show because he went to check up on Shen Yue’s character. GAO’s mother sees how upset Ireine Song’s character is, and decides to give GAO’s character tickets to go see a show you IS’s character. They go see the show, the parents want them to marry, the end up marrying years later, after G’s character realizes he will never be with SY character. IS and GAO’s characters end up having a reasonably happy marriage.

Shen Yue’s character rejected Gao’s character on the basis of their families feuding, and it was her parents that made her sign a document promising to never marry him. She rejected him as a result.

Shen Yue’s character gets married to a lovely man, and Ireine Song’s and Gao’s characters get married and have a daughter. Shen Yue’s character also had a son.

things are moving very quickly, I feel like family dramas like this need to be longer to ease into different phases of the script. This drama is amazing, but suffers from the 40 episode rule.
