trying to make sense of how much of this drama is action, how much is thriller/mystery, and how much is just political dialogue because personally i’m not a huge fan of political dialogue. action and mystery/thriller however i can get behind. someone help me out!

Stop!!!! At some point, I was like “ What if it’s the wife?!”🤔Please stop that’s scary, let me sleep…
yea that’s the only thing holding me back from believing the theory completely. although she could just be a really great at faking it

Is it just me or is anyone else suspecting the wife being the copycat killer? the show writers could be deliberately misleading us, but there are so many potential hints: mantis visits su yeol’s wife by herself, there’s no background on the wife’s family, and most importantly her name (jung yeon) is almost the exact flip of yeon joong. flipping genders , flipping names. am i going crazy here???

I already knew it this would happen to the ML, sooner or later he'll depend bit by bit to his own mother. And…
i’m thinking the wife could be the copycat killer. her name (jung yeon) is almost a perfect flip of yeon joong…

I'm in the middle of episode 8, and I think HG is one of the main people I would like to be playing with. At least…
I respect your opinion and you're not wrong in any way. The game is certainly set up so that betrayal is supposed to be part of it. I'm not quite sure that he will "tell it as it is" however. He just tries to twist the words he says so that what he says doesn't reveal his true thoughts. For example, he will avoid a direct answers by claiming neutrality. Either way, he's a strong player who knows his capabilities and is playing the game well. I'm simply just not a fan of his cold and seemingly apathetic demeanor haha.

I think Hyun Gyu is a strong player, but I'm not a fan of his style of play at all. I prefer players with a style…
Well said - he is certainly a strong player and deserves to be where he's at in the game because of it. It's primarily preference of his play style where it seems "unpleasant" as you stated. At the end of it all, it could just be a personality thing as he did mention himself earlier in the season that he wasn't one to mingle with others. Either way, I just don't vibe with the coldness.

No, I'm with you: I was excited to see him, at first, but his total lack of empathy has been a real turnoff. This…
Yes - this is pretty much aligned with my thoughts, especially the part about Ha-rin, of whom I was also not a big fan of. What can I say, I must put a lot of weight into the human interaction component of a person.

I dont want to mention something so specific because I want to maintain peace hahaha, but if you ask me, honestly…
there's no peace in devil's plan!!! all jokes aside, we're all entitled to our opinion and just because one person likes someone and another does not doesn't make one person right or wrong. I was just surprised that few people (none that I could after doom scrolling down the comments for a bit) have expressed their displeasure with him or his play style.

came here thinking I'd be amongst others who are not in favor of hyungyu, but it turns out it's the exact opposite. I can definitely see the appeal he has, being reticent and seemingly nonchalant. however, I just don't vibe with his demeanor. he claims to be helping people but sticks only to people he thinks can benefit him (first red flag for me). he outright mentions in an interview that he will betray anyone at a moments notice once he gets what he wants. lastly, his lack of empathy (even though this is a game) is very disturbing - dare I say psychopath-like? I'd love to have the unpopular opinion here, but curious if anyone else has caught onto this as well - or am I really an army of one (I'll take it if I am!)

Was looking for a new drama that would hook me from the start. Wasn't expecting it to be this one, but the perfect balance comedy, acting, and potential character growth has left me hooked. Waiting an extra day for the next episode has never felt longer!

i wonder when the show will start focusing a little more on their vocals. Three episodes in everything is heavily focused on dance skills and facial expressions (a big part of being an idol for sure), but I’d say vocals are just as important. Most of the performances seem to be backed by underlying supporting vocals so we don’t hear too much of any one trainee’s vocals. This show might as well be a show for a dance group (as of episode 3). I’m still entertained and addicted to the show, but I really wish they would focus more on vocal training/mentoring.
