I enjoyed this show to my surprise. It's probably one of the best revenge shows I've watched and love how she got justice for herself and Jiang Li. It was such a pleasure watching an independent and intelligent female lead in a show, I find them to be rare.
I'm not familiar with Cdrama's so was taken aback by the flying and other theatrical moments but over time became used to it. I love how it focuses on the females in the families for each of the story arcs regarding the Ye family and Jiang Family. Historically tho, I was confused as to why it was fine for the main character to wander around alone much and mingle with the guys.
I do wish some parts were explained better, because only episodes later did I find out the gold mine was closed. It was such a big storyline, just to disappear. The ending also, how am I supposed to believe he is alive when he was the last person alive with people charging at him? I watched the special episode too, and it was just fan service, probably because the lack of affection had people complaining.
I also love that when the story arc came to an end, we never saw those characters again.
Ithink there are two versions of the last epsiode, on Viki it includes Ryung-Eum visiting Gil-Chae after finding out about JangHyeon. And prior to that we see a higher up who orders that Ryung-Eul not be harmed but locked up as he is the only remaining ‘Hyung’ he has left. But no face is seen. This is not shown in other cuts i’ve seen on online websites. ( i searched up to see if the teanslation was correct on viki) but did anyone else see this part? Cause if Ryung Eum did visit her, it would have been 23 years since epsiode one, so why did no one else age much? I’m so confused with the timeline. If i didn’t see that part i would of been soo content with the episode even without them explaining how he got locked up.
I doubt i will get answers as i am late watching this. Overall 8-10.
I don't think Hyun-Wook is in season 2 which is a massive bummer because i need to know what happens to his character. I just finished part 1 (late) but i was really annoyed that the video of boom-seok wasn't released fffsssss
