It's not the same thing to express a lack of interest in straight dramas as it is to express intolerance towards gay dramas and celebrate when they are censored. The former is a personal preference that doesn’t harm you, the latter is discrimination against gay dramas

BL dramas exist in the context of a society that's hostile towards gay relationships. They are a safe space to explore identities and put gay relationships at the forefront of stories. Consider why someone "can't stand" them. Could it be that their dislike for BL dramas is influenced by the societal biases against gay people and relationships? It's possible. Dislike for straight dramas isn't influenced by a societal dislike for straight identifying people

I've seen some BL fans say, "censor this straight drama," only in response to the censorship of gay dramas. It's a rhetorical device to draw attention to the harm caused by censorship. They want to see how you would react. They don't say, "censor this straight drama" because "it kills it for us"
