It was way better than the other two franchises. I watched "Love of a Thousand Years" a few years ago, and I was thoroughly disappointed with the Zao Lusi character, and I still can't bear to watch her drama due to the stupidity of her role in that drama. "A moment But Forever" was destroyed because of the old CGI; it was unwatchable. Thankfully, this one was amazing with brilliant cast, storyline and side characters. They didn't drag it. Though the ending could have been better with the glimpse of their afterlife together, the ending was still satisfying.

Novel was totally different from the drama. it was a very bubbly story about female lead looking for a husband and then set her sight on ml. then when it was the day of their marriage the ml went under transformation to become a true war ghost. he didn't want to be a human and their clan was not perished in the novel. so this is the totally reverse of the novel. in the lord Meishan was a very funny but powerful character. he was in love with fl but feared the ml. There were so many interesting stories about the demons that used to live with ml and they have scattered those characters and changed their stories in the drama.
I think Meishan Jun / Lord of Rust-Sword will also have another identity. In today's episode they showed the scorpion died under his feet but the other guy got poisoned by a scorpion. That scene was highlighted specifically.

Watched first fur episode and it looks promising. Plot is gripping and logical. Actors acting is quite good. Li Hong YIi is aloof and handsome, Su Xiao Tong is celever and sensible, and Yu Cheng En is cute and reliable as always. so far it is quite good and gripping.

this was amazing beyond words. everything from acting to script, plot, pacing was just awesome. I was impressed by the Zhang Hai acting. his subtle change of expression from sadness to villian in seconds was amazing. and the chemistry between our ML and FL was an icing on the cake. Even though there was no romance there chemistry was amazing and ML expressions tells you there is somethign going.
Every chracter in the drama was amazing whether protogonist, anatogonist or supporting characters. it was written out very well and the plot keeps you on the edge throughout the series. It was one of the best drama of these few years with real plot and acting. no flashy cloth makup to keep you engage but story and acting. 100% recomneded for evryone.

I have read the novel and the fl was so much beautiful, cheerful, elegent, and vibrant. but victoria song look so old, stiff, and hagard. most importantly,her lipstick is awful like she has alergy on her lips and her lips are always dropping making her looks older. all other actress are so vibrant evern eldest princess looks younger than her.

2. Yiqi alliance. They do nothing at all. When Quan Jingting was doing villainous things. The writer didn't give a single dialogue to the whole alliance. But when it came to Fugui, there were a bunch of fools. like really. At least make the plot convincing. A lot of plot was forced and not convincing just to make Fuigui character shine and appear pitiful.
