I agree, it might be him being a chamaleon, you can see some pair of eyes but they were green so I don't know since you said, he's black. Or maybe you referred to their "body" not the eyes? But then again, the huge naga had green eyes If i'm not mistaken when Phaya was in the river.
I was also thinking the same as him and people who thought that Byungtae deserved such treatment should be a shame of themselves! He's after all a victim.
Guys, I don't know if anyone already know this but the other name of Phaya, Sakuna means Bird according to a Thai reactor. I didn't know although I can understand Thai but this it's more about a meaning behind name

Watching the uncut is better, they add some extra scenes unlike in the cut version (CH3)
For example, in episode 3, they didn't add the scene in which the grandma saying that Tharn dream of naga that's why they went in this province. They cut a bit of the interaction between Yai and Tharn (phone) talking about being wasted, and also interaction with Yai and his girlfriend in front of Luong Por when he was whiny. There was no scene of Tharn swimming and later the fight between Phaya and him.
Am I the only who think they don't really give lovers vibes but siblings vibes? As some people commented, when they kiss, I don't feel the sparkles lol
