I am the only one glad they use some sound effect/music used by The Guest ? For example when the shaman said something that should not be here is in the Queen. That remind me a lot of memories about the Guest, I loved it so much ._. And yes Bong Hwan is like an evil spirit not as evil as Park ll Do though haha

I also feel like they are killing Bong Hwang and even if we are not seeing it physically for example him being cut by a blade or whatevers it is the same to me... The only way for me to accept it a bit would be a twist about how the queen is the past life of Bong Hwang but I am still not liking this solution of mixing the two personalities... But at the same time I am still finding this drama interesting and wonder how this will end !

I think I would be equally glad to see a cliché ending (where the queen and/or the king died --> Bong Hwang returned to his live in the future and meet the reincarnation of the King as a woman. ) or something totally out of the box. They have really a lot of interesting possibilities. I just hope they won't use the " drunk night" to got Mr.Queen pregnant, not fond of that kind of trick ._.

It is true he said "how can I be in love with my cousin ? " but I thought it was a way of speaking between noble...Kind of weird if he did not recognized his cousin when she disguised herself as a guy... Or perhaps there are really distant cousin, just in the same "clan" family but without knowing each other ? But now that reminds me when there was the wedding in episode 1 Kim Hwan was with So Yong's father...

A bit out of the topic but it is always hard for me to watch historical dramas (or historical stories overall) because I have a hard time to understand how people are linked. It is always kind of strange to me to see people who are supposed to be a loving family for example acting like they are meeting for the first time and acting coldly(or too respectfully) like strangers. I know it is the way they were speaking at the time but I have a difficult time to get used to it. Kind of rassuring for me to see Mister Queen twerking lmao Some warm in this coldness. Nowadays we are perhaps superficial but back then it was too serious in my taste.

I am relieved someone make this remark, why the cousin and the father don't find Mr queen suspicious at all ? I know they think it is because of her memory loss but even so...A bit sad nobodies know Bong Hwan is here, I feel like he is more and more erased. Hope the king will find soon somehow. To me the last two episodes feel like there are killing Bong Hwan soul little by little not fusionning

Oh yes of course the characters from the Joseon area will definitively choose "she/her" even if Bong Hwan said himself it is not his body ( proof with the king) because it is super hard to believe + to accept.

But for the viewers it is another topic if they know the context of the story they can choose to say "He/his"or "She/her" but if they just see a moment of the drama without knowing the whole story they will automatically use "She/her" . I thought it was about the viewers point of view here, sorry ^^'

I think it depends if you see it physicaly or mentally. Physically it is a woman, mentally it is a man. To me ( and it is my opinion of course) it is more natural to say "he",not because he was in a man body before but because Bong Hwan perceive himself as a man. I see more the soul aspect than the body and had recently read a topic about how it is important how people perceive themselves (it was about the difference between the sex gender from birth and the sex gender identity perceived by the person himself/herself.)

I would love to see Bong Hwan and the King together but I find it hard to believe if suddently Bong Hwan loves romantically the King because Bong Hwan is such a womanizer.

No I think you are perhaps right afterall I don't think we saw all the flashback about that night and perhaps the mistress is not saying all the truth here ? I really don't know I think I really know too little about the real soul of the queen to discard any theories for now...

I really look forward, it will be really interesting ! The story has really a lot of possibilities to offers and everything is perfect for me so far (actors, characters, musics, ...) I hope it will continue that way. Bong Hwan plays the safer route so he choose the winning side for now but I can't wait the moment he will decide to "actively support the king " like you said. I also wonder how the cousin will react if he knows an "evil spirit " is possessing the queen haha

Oh I thought it was the typical trope where the brother fall in love of the same girl but perhaps you are right and there were already scheming together. I felt like she faked her faint ?
And when in the flashback the queen said to the king " you should love me ! " I thought it was because she was jealous but perhaps there is something off with the mistress and that is why she said that, could be translate as "you should believe me, not her"

I always wonder if korean dramas have popular genre and theme depending on the year. Because by COINCIDENCES there are always a lot of dramas alikes in the same period of time... I remember for example time travel dramas airing around the same time, same for parrallel worlds same about married couples or after The Guest I remember seeing others titles about (less hot) priests too or perhaps this is just me but I always feel like there is temporarily a trend with the genres and tags. It is not even a complaints but an observation. I don't care as long as this is good but if it is just a pale copy it is not really interesting...

I thought at first she really did jump by herself but not for the suicidal reason, my first idea was perhaps she saw Bong Hwan drowning (without knowing she was seeing that moment from another time) and tried to save him and their souls ended up switching.

I believe the fact she was suicidal and perhaps tried to jump in the lake to kill herself. However I don't think she did this to set a trap for the mistress. And even if it is a bit odd I think the mistress ran away because even if she would have tried to save the queen she was afraid to be accused later on by her to be the one who pushed her. Even if the mistress is manipulative I don't believe she is that bad.

In my opinion the queen learnt she was a puppet all along when she entered the palace in order to harm the King and that is why she changed her behaviors and tried to kill herself.

I think the only way would be for Bong Hwan to reveal something from te future ? That is why I think at some point they will work together so Bong Hwan can tell him how the king's foes will attack him.

That is true there are wong informations and history books don't contain all the "truths" because the person who write it don't know everything. For example the king keeps secret his true schemes and create his fake look of dumb king ( to make those more powerful thinking they can control him) and womanizer (to protect the mistress he said he was the night with her when it was false or another time he said him and the Queen are trying a lot to have an heir when it is false).
However I think some information can be useful for example when and how the King will be killed (If I remember corretly he will die of an illness but I don't believe it, I wonder if he will not be poisoned ? ).

Yes ! The name on the rock. I think at some point he will understand something else is going on even if it is hard to believe. Perhaps he could understand it if the shaman said to him the Queen is possessed by another spirit ? Don't know if in Joseon they are inclined to believe this kind of thing and that would be really hilarious if Bong Hwan make the stemother (I think she is) believe he is a evil spirit and scare her a little.

I wonder if at some point the king will believe Bong Hwan identity that would be damn hilarious well it already is hilarious but that would be even better, their moment together are already great but I would liike to see them work together with Bong Hwan's knowledge of history

I hope this is it because like you said that would be the most fair route + perhaps we will see the reincarnation of Cheol Jong as a woman in the present time ? Don't know if I make sense here... I did not even started the drama and read spoiler to see where the romance is going because I am 100% for a romance between the cooker and the king and I am afraid to be dissapointed...

Afterall reincarnation don't have physical gender so to me this theory works perfectly and it is more interesting that way.

It is the reason why I did not watch Hi Bye Mama yet... Perhaps someday I will watch it but it is too strange to see the actor who played Looney as a father/husband for now.
I know this sound silly but sometime I just avoid some dramas when in the past I get too much attached at a character, I feel like it would ruins the memory of the character if I watch the actor/actress in another role....
